This company is a joke!! Very incompatent and rude. I recieved a quote but they didn't ask me all the questions that Ins Co. required. So the Insurance co. cancelled because I didn't fit there criteria. Now I am owed money because I paid for 2 months up front. The increased premium makes me lose $75 aswell. This company will give you a false quote which will cause your premium to increase or get you cancelled. Mark is as rude as every one states aswell. One of there only 5 star ratings is from Mark himself. That says alot. I am only giving one star because it is required. more

Finding another insurance company that was cheaper (for the same coverage), when I called Hoey to let them know that I would be switching, I was met with a barrage of *f*bombs by the little tool on the phone! I was told by the Hoey rep that ""switching insurance companies is illegal"" (LIE!) and I was also referred to as ""stupid"" for thinking that a ""TV commercial"" would actually cover me like Hoey would. Guess what? Since switching, I was in an accident that TOTALLED my car. I bought a new vehicle only 10 hours later. The ""lizard"" didn't give me any stress, changed coverage to my new vehicle, and NOT ONE *f*bomb to be found!! YES, I DID get a refund from the company that Hoey sent me through, but it was about $75.00 short.\r I pursue.\r more

I just put my auto insurance with them and I saved over $200 a year! Nice to have a local business thats family owned still around and they saved me money :) more

Its unfortunate that the internet allows postings like this to happen. We responded to better_business_bureau with full details. I will not go any further on this site. Go to the better_business_bureau if you want true information. more

Have dealed with Hoey insurance for 15+ years now. Recently they went through employee changes & have dropped the ball ever since. Mark (who screams on the phone ""I AM THE OWNER DEAR, DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT?!?!) has managed to screw up my policy for 5 straight months now while blaming past employess & claiming to have fixed it. After being being asked on the phone why the mistakes have not been fixed, as I was told they were by him for the past 4 months that they were, I was told I could go find somewhere else to do business & hung up on. VERY unprofessional. I will be sure that myself & everyone else in my family who has never had a problem with this agency until he took over does so as well. Beware! more
