I had both a cut and color done at this salon. Neither were what I had asked for, though the color was done well. The problem was that it was much, much more color than I had asked for, which means that instead of natural-looking highlights, my hair color appears to have changed, and I will have obvious roots when my hair grows. The real problem, however, was with the pricey haircut. I have very thick hair, and I specifically said that I did not want layers, especially short ones, because in the humidity they simply puff up and the cut looks terrible. Ignoring me, Patricia cut very short layers throughout my hair, though not evenly, and she used either the wrong scissors or wrong angle, because the short layers look terribly frayed. While this might work to help add volume to thin, limp hair, that technique cannot be applied to all types of hair, which she should know for the prices that she charges. When I left the salon, I wasn't initially disappointed because she took about an hour to blow dry it and flat-iron it so that the mistakes didn't show. The cut actually looked good, until I had to wash and style it myself. I don't have hours to spend each morning ironing my hair, and I never had to do it before, but now I've already had to go to another salon to fix Patricia's mistakes. I would not recommend seeing her, and frankly, any salon that ignores what you ask for is not operating properly.
