As a big and huge mall the Giftcards for the mall on the whole are the best choices. Each mall has so many stores and hence provide countless choice for a customer. Don't Get Mall-ed 6/30/2006

Gurnee Mills Mall has to be the largest mall in the Chicagoland area. It's huge and that means miles of walking, so wear your comfortable shoes. Or better yet, buy a new pair. The mall features lots of discount pricing, and you can find just about anything here. Don't miss some of the stores just outside the mall, too. Some big box stores got smart and moved just across the street. Be prepared for bus loads of people, literally. I usually try to eat outside the mall to avoid the food courts that are ubiquitous here. Most restaurants inside the mall have long wait times, but you can always have a look around while you wait. That's the problem! more

Gurnee Mill Mall is a bargain hunter's dream come true. I think they have every and any store here possible. From those oh la la designer stores like Lord and Taylor to your down to earth Gap stores. And get this, they are all outlet stores!! It is really so much fun when you shop here because you get a variety of stores and they all have awesome bargains. Make sure you come here with a lot of time on your hands because you will need it to get through this massive mall! more

You have to see this place. If you love shopping you will have a very difficult time resisting this mall. They have designer stores, labels and (get ready) all at outlet store prices! It's right off the expressway so it's convenient, although a bit of a hike if you live in the city. Trust me, it's worth it. The have Lord and Taylor, Saks Fifth Avenue, and a cinema and restaurants. more

Huge Mall 5/24/2006

This mall is awesome. Its so big and they have so many stores. Most of the items here are pretty cheap. Many of the stores are outlet stores so you can find lots of stuff. Its located right near Six Flags so you'll always find tourists and visitors from out of state. The mall gets pretty crowded during the holiday times. Also, the food court is real big and its a fun place to go to shop and eat! more

Mall Madness 4/1/2006

Is there anything better than a mall? Why an outlet mall is better! And yes it is. Bargains galore and in abundance. You can honestly shop til you drop. And I have dropped!! thankfully they do have comfortable seating for those of us that get too pooped to party with the rest of the family. Speaking of being pooped, you can catch a movie or even grab a bite to eat while the rest of your party is out there spending every last dime they have! Excellent opporitunity to shop for some real bargains, and not the over inflated *actual* prices slashed down to discount outlet prices. (I personally hate that entire scenario.) Plan on spending the day and wear some really good sneakers, you will be doing a lot of walking. more

Large mall, but can get crowded 3/17/2006

I wouldn't recommend trying to go on a weekend because it's almost impossible to find close parking and navigate your way through the mall. It's always so crowded! The nice thing is the variety of outlet stores they have and how you can get items for reduced prices. They have 2 food courts in the mall and a movie theater. The problem with this is in order to get into the theater, you have to walk outside- you can't just go in from the mall. My favorite store is Gap Outlet because they have so many clothes at reduced prices and then often discount entire styles of clothing, such as all sweaters 25% off what the price tag says. more

Huge outlet mall 2/20/2006

This is the biggest mall I have ever seen. And all they have are outlets! But I really don't like to go here because it is a major pain to walk from one end of the mall to the other. It is also really crowded all the time, despite the fact that it is so big. But they have a whole bunch of great stores here, like Abercrombie, Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, and many more. I have found at least one great bargain everytime I have shopped here so it is always a worthwhile trip. It is also a fun place to go with a big group because there's also lots to see in this mall and a huge food court that everybody enjoys eating at. more

Great sprawling shopping mall 12/23/2005

Gurnee Mills is America at its best and at its worst. About half way between Chicago and Milwaukee, it is a great sprawling shopping mall that is spread out over hundreds of acres. At its best because it is abundance personified. At its worst because it is materialism personified. Like Dickens said, it was the best of times and the worst of times. I come here to walk in bad weather. I will stop at one of the restaurants in a food area to eat if hungry. The cajun place has decent food and generous portions. You can also come here to ice skate, play games, pick up a lover, or give your ADD a great workout. A fun place. http://gurneemills.com/ more

It has everything 10/14/2005

It's true that this mall gets VERY crowded so to browse around on a weekend is often frustrating. If you go on an off time or go there for a specific store it is not bad. There is a decent mix of outlet/non outlet stores which is nice because you get a bigger selection that way. I have found really good deals at the Carters outlet, The Children's Place, the VF outlet and the JC Penney outlet. The Bass Pro Shops there is interesting to walk around with the big aquarium in the middle. May not be worth making a long trip to come to this mall but for those in the area it is great. more

Not as good as it once was 9/22/2005

I remember when this mall first opened a couple decades ago, it was an outlet mall with a decent selection but great prices. Levi's, Burlington Coat Factory, Saks Fifth Avenue, etc all had outlet stores. It was worthwhile to drive the long distance for the cheaper prices. Now its just not the same. I'd rather go to Huntley or further north to Waukegan and go to outlet stores there. Not the shopping experience it once was. more

Huge outlet mall, very good prices 8/3/2005

Gurnee Mill Mall is about an hour drive from Chicago downtown but is worth a visittevery now and then in my opinion. It is a huge outlet mall with very good prices. My favorite stores are the Gap, Nautica, Tommy Hilfiger and Carter's outlets and many shoe stores. You are sure to find bargain priced goods for every member of the family in this huge mall. The gigantic Bass Outdoors store and the Rainforest Cafe are fun places to spend some time. Do not plan to visit all stores at one visit, it is almost impossible. One other good thing is that it is very close to the Six Flags America entertainment park and the aqua park, so you can please the whole family visiting Six Flags and Gurnee at the same day. more

Huge Mall 7/24/2005

This is a huge outlet mall, probably one of the biggest outlet malls in the country. It's always seems to be really crowded and because it is so huge, I always seem to have a hard time getting around and end up getting lost. It's almost like a huge maze, except there's a bargain to be found at every corner! And even so, it is a fun place to shop and you won't leave without having found a bargain or two among the hundreds of stores. And of course, since the mall is so big, there's plenty of free parking for all shoppers. more

Very BIG mall 7/19/2005

This mall is huge but the way they have it set up is very inconvenient. I would not recommend this mall because you end up getting so tired and frustrated. Basically you have to start from one end and get to the other end. There is no easy way around. It gets pretty crowded and parking is a disaster. If you are willing to endure then go for it. I'm sure you are bound to find some deals. more
