Gurnee Mills is America at its best and at its worst.
About half way between Chicago and Milwaukee, it is a great sprawling shopping mall that is spread out over hundreds of acres. At its best because it is abundance personified. At its worst because it is materialism personified.
Like Dickens said, it was the best of times and the worst of times.
I come here to walk in bad weather. I will stop at one of the restaurants in a food area to eat if hungry. The cajun place has decent food and generous portions.
You can also come here to ice skate, play games, pick up a lover, or give your ADD a great workout.
A fun place.
