Worst

THE OIL LEVEL ON DIP STICK WAS NOT CHECKED AFTER FILLING WITH NEW OIL AND TOO MUCH OIL (~2 PINTS OR MORE) WAS ADDED FOR THE PAST ALL OIL CHANGES. THE DIP STICK HAS PERMANENT MARK...

Long story but Len was awesome and was very understanding. I am so happy how he turn my disappointment to a positive . Close to home 3/5/2014

If Hydundai does not improve the passenger seat to move up and down in height, I will not purchase another Hydundai. The Sonata does not have this capability either. I would tell a person interested to watch for this annoyance. more

Gurnee Hyundai was the 4th dealership we visited besides seeing Chicago Auto Show displays. At first, Ray answered our questions over the phone and greeted us at the entrance. Jim Gass and his trainee Ray assisted us in finding a car that would give us satisfaction. Both men showed us the cars in the lot and allowed us to test drive. Ray was with us most of the time since Jim was with other customers. Ray has a very pleasant personality, patient and never pressured us even though it was getting very late in the afternoon. He treated us better than the other sales people in prior dealerships even though he's new in this type of trade. Thus, allowing us to weigh things and make the best judgment on which vehicle to purchase. Maybe, we did not get good attention from sales people of other dealerships because we do not look impressive. We're just ordinary people. \r Buying a car is a major financial decision that will affect our lives for several years and should not be taken lightly. We have been researching, studying, and comparing cars since last year and we decided to go with Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. We believe it's the best car for our needs. \r We also observed that Jim instructs Ray very well and treats him with respect. We believe both of them will bring in success to Gurnee Hyundai. \r The free hotdogs was a very kind gesture of your business. We have been to several places with no time to eat. Thank you for caring and God bless you.\r The only issue was with the business office - The car was paid in full. The invoice was not marked ""Paid in Full"" nor was our $16,562.16 check payment written on it. Our bank confirmed that Gurnee Hyundai already cashed the check but, we never got a receipt for it until now. more

Took the car in 2 x for same problem 3/2/2014

First time car had to be towed in and problem not diagnosed properly, 2 nod time drove it in waited 3 hours cause I didn't want to pay out of pocket rental again. Problem still not fixed more

Service dept was courteous and pleasant to work with. They get 4 stars. The Sales dept gets 0 stars. The Sales dept (I can't remember the guy's name) WAS HORRIBLE!!! He lied, distorted the truth, misrepresented everything I said to him and it was the worst experience I've had in a dealership. I WILL NEVER buy another car at this dealership -- I will come back for service because of the free oil changes I get. Otherwise, I would never step foot in that place again. more

I was planning on buying a Honda Accord until I test drove the Genesis. It's not as practical being a rear wheel drive, but it's a very nice car. I wish it had the backup camera and even an add-on option for remote start, but otherwise love everything else about the car. Jim Gass is an awesome salesman. I am an engineer and previously a very successful sales person so I am both analytically inclined and experienced with sales tactics and I still really enjoyed working with him. more

Saved the day 2/7/2014

My 2011 Sonata began running rough suddenly on my way to work. Extreme misfiring and multiple failure lights came on and fortunately I was able to pull into Gurnee Hyundai. There my issue was uncovered and effective courteous service was provided. The staff was clear as to what was going on and why. Needless to say, I'll be going back for all my Hyundai service needs to Gurnee Hyundai. more

I had a blast talking with Jim Grass. He was able to give me an excellent customer service while selling because I didn't feel like he was trying to take advantage at me at all. Instead, he delivered a great ease in communicating and asking questions.Every time I ask him if I can try out a car or decide on something, I didn't feel pressured in doing so because he gives me time to think.Thanks. Tom Gudbrandsen became the finance manager, and he smiled when he saw me asking how I was doing.He explained to me clearly and showed me very well which bank he tried to give me a loan.
