Beware. Ordered a new clip and paid for it thinking it would work in my gun. It did not. Paid for their gunsmith to adjusted the clip so it would function properly. It did not. Waste of time, money and effort. Buyers beware. more

I bought a red dot scope, believing the salesman about how good of a deal it was. Shame on me! I could have bought the exact same scope for $90 less on line. 1/2 of what I gave for it. ALWAYS shop around 1st, and I will NEVER step inside that store again. They did offer me an in store credit if I brought it back, but why do that when their markup is so high? more

Buyer beware indeed! Ask for a price on repairs before you agree to let them do anything. I was charged $150 for a trigger spring I could have gotten off the Internet for $20! They will never see me there again.\r I also noticed that there was a box of .22 long rifle ammo there - 500 rounds for $125!!! Come on.\r Sure the staff are friendly and they jump at waiting on you, but their prices are a rip-off. \r If you want better prices head north a few block and buy from the pawn shop on corner. And, ""no"" I'm not associated with either business at all. more

When my husband and I stopped by the customer service was excellent! The man that helped us was very nice, and gave us plenty of info. on the gun. We didn't know they sell guns too, we just thought it was a shooting range. We will be going back. more

They prices from the range is too too much for all day. They are priced at $14 for the the day when H&H is $10 for none members, it is $5 for active duty military, and any additional person is an extra $8.50 for all day. They do not allow any ammunition or firearms that have a muzzle velocity that is greater than 3000 fps to be fired for example 5.56 (.223 Rem) at 55 grams is not allowed. Overall I will stick with H&H for all of my range time. more

Employees lie - I have 3 different employees tell me 3 different stories in reference to the arrival of my gun. Overpriced - I paid $34 for shipping with the promise it would arrive the next day. It arrived 3 days later. Wait time - While I was being helped my salesman left to help someone else who had arrived after me, and completed their sale before completing mine. All in all - Go to H&H, their friendly, don't bs people, cheaper, and help you until your finished. They may be busier, but it is totally worth the wait at H&H! I ordered/purchased a gun here on a Wednesday with the promise that it would be shipped and arrive at Gun World the following day (thursday) and that I would be able to pick it up in the afternoon. The salesman also promised he would call me when it arrived. Thursday came and went with no phone call, but since I was promised it would arrive thursday...on friday morning about 10am I went to pick up my gun. I was told it had not arrived but would by 3pm. I tried to cancel my order, but of course you have to pay a restocking fee and all that. So, at 4:30pm on friday I called to see if it had arrived, I was told they were waiting on one more shipment and they closed at 7. I received no call Friday evening saying it had arrived. So, Saturday I called about noon and they told me my gun had arrived. At 3pm saturday I went to pick up my gun, the salesman that helped me this time told me it had arrived friday an hour after i left (just another lie). Once again I was stuck waiting while they helped other people before finishing my order. This time I had to wait for them to review my paperwork. They had 3 days, why are you just now reviewing my paperwork??? I left with the gun I ordered...but I don't like companies/people that waste my time, lie to me, and waste my money. I will NEVER return here. I wouldn't give them even 1 star, but you have to give them something or your can't publish your review. more

I have no clue how anyone could shop here or leave good reviews unless they are related to the owners of the biz or unless they just have no idea what the market is for guns. #1: Their prices are absolutely absurd. They are selling things for 2x what you can buy them for otherwise. They wanted over $700 for a Saiga ak-47 in the sporting rifle configuration I could buy for $369 elsewhere. I was told to come in and they would make me an ""awesome"" deal on used 30-30's, and I go in there and they wanted $600-700 for used rifles! It goes on and on. #2: I doubt they really know what they're talking about, or they're just plain not honest. EX: one of the salesmen showed me a ""Rock River"" 1911. I had to explain to him that it was a ""Rock Island,"" not a ""Rock River."" And it was priced about $300 more than it should have been. If you spend even 30 minutes on GunBroker dot com, you'll get it. I have spent a lot of time looking and shopping at Outdoor America on MacArthur. Their prices are excellent and their staff are excellent. I am NOT related to (or dating) in any way, shape, or form to ANYONE who works at Outdoor America. I like Outdoor America because I have taken many hours of time from their salesmen without buying anything and they have good prices, good selection, and they teach me about guns, and they have NEVER insulted my intelligence about what is or isn't. I don't care where you buy your firearms. But I can't for the life of me figure out why anyone would want to buy them at Gun World. I walked out of the store and immediately bought a gun from a gun store in Nebraska that gave me an outstanding value on an excellent gun ($599 for a Springfield Armory 1911 Mil-Spec), with excellent service and a knowledgeable staff, in sharp contrast to Gun World. All I can say is, do what you want to do, but BUYER BEWARE! more
