When deciding on getting a pool I became discouraged because I read so many negative reviews for all of the pool companies in the Tampa Bay area. We decided to give Gulfstream a shot since a co-worker was just finishing up getting his pool done by Gulfstream. My co-worker told me good things and Bob at Gulfstream gave us so many great recommendations that we decided they had earned the business. I also felt comfortable in knowing that they have been in business for many years and have an impressive showroom to prove it. We almost made the mistake of going with another company that Gulfstream helped us realize was just in the news for taking peoples money and not completing pools. They had just changed their business name so beware of those types of scams! Look up the owners name (not just the business name) to double check they are reputable. By the end of our experience we ended up with a beautiful pool that I still can't believe is ours! It is all we wanted plus more. The entire team at Gulfstream was very professional, diligent, always answered our calls and finished the pool before we even expected it to be done. more

It's too bad you can't give zero stars to a company. Their response time to reported problems ranges from 3 weeks for a callback to never for a fix. I'd invite prospective buyers over to see the issues we've had but another company has offerred to fix them wthin a week at a very reasonable price. All I can say to anyone considering buying from Gulfstream - do your research. (I'm also kind of suspicious of the good reviews....makes me wonder if the company wrote them itself.) more

I hesitate to even give this company ONE star! I bought a home when it was only 2 years old (in 2005) and the pool had been installed by these Gulfstream pool company people and ALREADY the plaster was discoloring. I called them back then and was told that it was my fault that it was due to improper chemicals. BUT it wasn't my chemicals are ALWAYS PERFECT when they are tested. A year ago I brought in a pool guy from another company and was told it's the way the marcite was applied to the surface. Currently it has accelerated and the plaster has been literally crumbling off the surface of the pool. I called them again and they again told me it was my fault due to improper chemicals (IT IS NOT!) again my chemicals have been PERFECT and I do mean perfect each week they are tested and I NEVER have to do any adjusting to anything! This company won't even come look at the pool without charging me a $65 fee! The pool is literally an awful, horrible mess and now I have to get t resurfacd BY A GOOD COMPANY with a reputable product like Diamond Brite and would NEVER trust this company to do anything to any pool I ever owned. EVEN The tile work was a lousy job on this pool! more

My neighbors recommended Gulfstream Pools and now I see why: A quality product at a reasonable price delivered on time (in just 5 weeks!). My in-laws went with another pool company because their price was $1,000 less and they have had nothing but headaches. Their pool started 3 months ago and still isn't done. My advice: when considering a project of this magnitude - don't pinch pennys. Give your business to a responsible, professional company like Gulfstream Pools. more

It was a nightmare to make this people build the pool on time. It took them 5 months, and another 3 to finish the inspections and stuff (until now, clock still ticking) more
