Beware of Abusive Behavior\r My wife and I had been looking forward all week to going to the Grower’s Outlet in Loganville, Georgia that she had heard so much about from her friends.\r When we arrived Saturday morning we stopped at the Quicktrip next door to relieve ourselves. We observed all the cars coming in; it was a mob with limited parking. We were relieved when we saw a cop directing traffic. There was a couple coming out and loading up across the fence from where we parked at the station. I asked the gentleman would he mind holding the parking spot for me. He said he would. By the time I pulled up to the parking spot there was a gentleman with a large SUV who stopped right in front of us and began to load right in the aisle. I was patience, the cop was not. He started yelling at me and made statements like, “You have a problem with authority!” and ordered me to circle around. I did not respond, but everybody in front of me put the rush on, they could see the Loganville police officer become very agitated. After parking and exiting our vehicle we observed the same officer politely and patiently allowing cars to pull out of parking spaces and halting traffic as they did. I am not sure whether his agitation came from the fact that I happen to be a man or just a person of color. The excitement diminished. Just prior to purchasing several items my wife asked the cashier for a re-count of the items. The way this works a person counts your items and writes the total down on a slip of paper and you pay a cashier. The original counter seemed to look at us with some irritation when asked for a second count from the cashier. When you go there bring a pad and pencil to write down your purchases as they have no formal accounting. They admitted to having made mistakes when I humbled myself stating this is a new experience for us.\r I tried to call the office this morning and all I got was a voice mail. It said if you need to contact them you could do so through email. The prices were great. The atmosphere is very pushy and mob like.\r more

Great platnts, Terrible service 4/28/2012

Americans get shocked at the 100% rude no service that these Dutch folks provide. Not me, Having lived in the Nederlands for years, I learned that no Dutch merchant understands customer service. I will continue to shop with these folks over and over because I know that there is no such thing as customer service in their country, What they offer is great product at a great price. Once you get used to it, just chill out and buy!\r No, I am not related to these folks in any way. more

RUDE AND UNTHANKFUL!!!! DONT ASK ANY QUESTIONS.... THEY GET REALLY AGITATED! 1 GUY TOLD ME HE WAS TOO BUSY TO HELP ME LOAD HEAVY PLANTS INTO MY CAR. HE RAN OFF THROWING HIS HANDS IN THE AIR. WHAT!!!! AS MUCH MONEY AS I SPENT. THE ATTITUDE STARTS AT THE TOP , THE OWNERS ARE THE WORST WITH THEIR ATTITUDE. THEY ALL NEED TO GO TO HOSPITALITY SCHOOL FOR MORE TRAINING ON ETIQUETTES!!!! THEY HAVE THE ATTTITUDE AS IF THEY ARE A GIFT TO LOGANVILLE, AND THEY ARE DOING THE PUBLIC A FAVOR. HELLO......IT IS THE CUSTOMERS THAT HELP YOU PAY YOUR BILLS....DONT FORGET THAT!!!! THE PLANTS ARE OKAY AND NOT THE BEST, SHOP AROUND AND YOU CAN DO BETTER, CERTAINLY GET A BETTER ATTITUDE AND PLANTS THAT YOU CAN RETURN IF THEY DO NOT WORK OUT. BUT NOT HERE ONCE YOU PAY YOU OWN IT DEAD OR ALIVE. I AGREE YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE ON A CONVEYOR BLET GET 'EM IN AND QUICK AS YOU CAN SHOVE 'EM OUT THE DOOR.....WHEW! HE'S OUTTA HERE!! NEXT!!! Reply from Grower's Outlet:\r It is indeed true that this woman was told she may be happier shopping at Walmart after she threatened to hit a cashier. At no point was she verbally abused other than this comment. We did tell her to leave, or we would have the officer directing traffic remove her from the property. If she thought we were being unfair in charging her then why did she refuse to leave without buying her plants? \r \r Please feel free to check the internet further for reviews of our company. Please note we only have 2 bad reviews in 10 years except for this lady who has proceeded to write her lies multiple times across the internet. more

Verbally Abusive Owner who has ""Police Protection"" 5/8/2010

Today, while walking past the line of customers waiting to pay for their selections, I witnessed the rudest behavior by an owner to a customer. It was shocking. The last words I heard out of the owner's mouth were ""If you don't like the way I count, go buy your plants at Walmart."" The customer did nothing to deserve such abuse and when she reacted with a harmless observation, she was told by an employee that ""we have POLICE PROTECTION here”! And indeed, as I left (immediately, I might add) to go to Walmart, I DID see a police car sitting at the entrance. That woman who owns this company will never receive a dime of MY hard-earned money! At Walmart, where I received an itemized receipt, no one tried to ""miss-count"" and rip me off or verbally abuse me! Pros: nice plants but not the only game in town Cons: watch out for the owner unless you like verbal abuse! more
