My furry children enjoy going toAngie for their weekly grooming. I have entrusted my 3 Cockers for over 7 years. The groomers are like an extended family which I trust and respect. When we lost our little Abby last year to Lymphoma they grieved our loss with us. I could not find a better group of professionals anywhere and highly recommend them to anyone with a pet. When I am out with my Cockers everyone comments on how beautifully they are groomed. I let them know that it is all the work of the groomers at Groomingdales. there have been places that my dog hestitates when you try to take her in the door!! at paws, they love my dogs and i can tell, because my dogs love to go there. they are friendly and professional. and yes....sometimes too busy....but that's because even when i call at the last minute they try to accomodate and give me a time. the most important thing to me is how they treat my pets.The reviews I have read on Groomigndales certainly does not give them justice. Not only have I taken my pet to be groomed by them for many years but so has 3 of my family members. Groomingdales is the best groomers in the City of Newburgh, in and I have tried many. My dog, Skeeter, is happy to go there which says a great deal in itself. The grooming has always been first-class. You may have to wait a week or two to make an appointment but that is no different than a regular hair salon when you want the best. Thank you Groomingdales for the excellent service that you have provided me and my family. more

I talked to Angie about the review below. She is pretty upset about the whole situation. It doesn't make since to me why no one noticed a dog bleeding until 2-3 days later. I know if Molly got hurt I would notice it that night. I also don't understand why the dog never made it to the vet within the 8 days. If molly was 'gashed' I would take her to the vet immediately, if the sitter was watching her then I would have the sitter take her right away. Being out of town is no excuse. I also don't understand why if Angie was giving terrible haircuts for a 'long time' why this person would keep coming back. Angie has always done a great job on Molly, and I will be the first to admit that Molly is horrible to groom. She bites and fidgets and the vet won't even clip her nails any longer. Angie is great and patient with her and there has never ever been any gashes. Molly will be coming to Angie as long as she is around. more

Do not take your dog to this Newburgh butcher! I took my mini eski to be groomed. I went to pick him up. He had an obvious bald spot where the electric clippers had shaved him. I was looking at it intensely during pickup and then she said, ""He moves a lot when I go to shave around his face."" This is ALL she told me. I assumed that she was referring to the bald spot so I let it go and left. I had a sitter set up for my dog for the week as I was leaving for a funeral. Therefore, the sudden need for the groom so he wouldn't mess up the sitter's house with fur. I get a call from the sitters saying their is a gash where the bald spot is. I hadn't even looked all that intensely because I assumed the groomer would have told me if it were more than what I could tell besides blaming my dog for being fidgity! There's no way that my lil puppy didn't let her know something hurt. Well, when I got a call from the sitter, I told her I would give the groomer a call when I returned. I came back, gave her a call, and she refused to take responsibility. She said ""There's NO way that happened here. I am sorry but I don't give refunds. I will give a free groom but I don't DO refunds."" I said, ""I am sorry but after this I would not come back here ever again. You gashed my dog and then didn't tell me about it. The funny thing was she asked if I had taken my dog to the vet yet and told me that ""I can't just not take care of my dog if he is wounded."" Kind of like she didn't tell me that she injured my dog and then tried to berate me on the care I'm giving my dog. Terrible terrible. Would give double zero's but this thing won't let me! Butchered my puppy! Gave terrible haircut! Oh, and when I took him back in there to show her what happened, he was shaking so scared the whole time from her. Usually so excited to get his bath! Sad, sad, sad! BTW, have been a loyal customer for a LONG time since before she moved to this current location. Have never complained about the terrible haircuts she was giving because I knew she was doing me a favor when I didn't have an appointment half the time. I will never go back. Totally disappointed in the way she handled this. Never complained until now! She nicely called me a liar! LOL. This lady is sooo unprofessional when it comes to discussing a mistake she caused! more
