08/10/2013 - These staff veterinarians were ruthless in treatment of me and my animals. Disrespect of my ownership rights was overwhelming. Such that Dr. Brent White presided over the euthanasia of several of my animals w/o the presence / permission of their owner, me; but not before using them as ""scrap"" source material to keep his well paying clients pets alive. \r \r My animals were relegated to the freezer / trash bin of their clinic. Ask Dr. Brent White / Sara Malta Groan what they did to brutalize me and my pets. My 2006 position on their professional mistreatment of me and mine is the same 2day-2013 as then.\r \r There will be judgment for their actions. Someone who is one of several deacons at North Monroe Baptist Church surely knows that. What will he[Huston Brent White] say when called b4""the"" Authority.\r \r \r \r \r \r \r \r \r \r \r Cons: not to be trusted more

Originally from West Monroe, Louisiana I have used Monroe Animal Health Center for all my animal care. Dr. Sara Groan is caring, compassionate and loving to ALL of her animals. She is a true animal lover. She has never been cruel to ANY animal of mine or any other animal I have witnessed her interactions. When it was time for the euthanizing one of my animals she waited until I was able to be by my cat's side as he passed. She was very kind and compassionate. Dr. Groan volunteers with different animal shelters to help treat those animals that have been forgotten by others. Any animal I have brought in to see Dr. Groan has always left with wonderful care and many hugs and tender treatment. When I moved to Maryland and could not take my cats she helped find homes for all three of them and kept me updated on their placement. The previous review who gave the clinic a one star and suggesting that they are unethical is wrong. After reviewing her review it seemed with her own health problems had too many animals to care for and they suffered from neglect. I am sure Dr. Groan did her VERY BEST to treat and place any animals that were neglected in their care. You can trust Dr. Groan with your animal because she will do everything within her power to care for your animal with the most professional, compassionate, loving and ethical treatments available in modern veterinarian medicine. Dr. Brent White is the most ethical and knowledgeable and capable vet I have ever used. I first went to him with my dog after the surgery on her cruciate ligament (by another vet) failed. I was devastated by the suffering of my dog, but Dr. White re-operated and repaired the ligament and my dog healed and was pain free until the end of her life. Not only is he a skilled surgeon, but Dr. White has amazing skills in diagnosis. He has been able to find out what is wrong with my pets and treat them and bring them back to health. I have been so grateful for the time he takes to explain the disease to me, the treatment and the prognosis. His patience is phenomenal. But I love most of all that he really cares for each and every one of my pets and knows them by name and recognizes them. On that rare occasion when he was not available I have been equally satisfied with the competence of Dr. Groan. And the people who work for them are so nice! They know me by name and also make sure I get my multiple pet discount when I bring my pets in at the same time. When I have boarded my pets with Dr. White, they come home healthy and happy pets more

I started using Monroe Animal Health last Monday. My little 10 week old black lab got parvo. We didnt think she was going to make it. She wasnt eating not drinking nothing. We got her up to monroe animal health monday morning and she stayed until friday. today is tuesday and she has made a full recovery and she is doing so much better. All thanks to Monroe Animal Health and the vets up there. more

I started using Dr. Brent White a few months back. He has been very caing to our dog Daisy. Dr. White takes so much time to explain what he believes is the best treatment. I really believe he is helping Daisy. I wish I would have know about him years ago. Thank you Dr. White! You are a great and caring vet. more

In response to glenda faye turner's reviews, I would like to say that I have been using Monroe Animal Health Center for over 7 years now. I use Dr. Groan, and she is always so sweet and caring toward my animals. I trust her completely with them, and I know she has too big of a heart to take the life of any kind of animal without it being a last resort to prevent suffering. These are good people who have dedicated their lives to taking care of sick animals. My wife and I had a recent experience with one of our animals, and we were almost certain he would not make it. We came to see Dr. Groan, and never once did she even consider putting the animal down. In fact, there is no doubt that she is the reason our pet is still alive and healthy. When I moved to the Monroe area, I started using Monroe Animal Health Center based on the good things I heard from friends who used them, and I have been nothing but pleased with every trip I have made there with a pet. I can personally assure you that what glenda faye turner has said is very misleading, if not completely untrue. If you have any doubts, by all means just go up there and meet the entire staff. I personally don't believe the negative reviews that have been repeatedly posted by the same person to bring down this clinic's ratings, and I urge others to be critical of them too. There are two sides to every story.\r \r I bring my 2 cats to this clinic, my sister brings her 2 dogs here, my parents bring their 2 dogs here, and my in-laws bring their 2 dogs here. We love Dr. White and Dr. Groan and have never had a complaint about them or their sweet staff. My sister has even overheard a conversation between White and Groan in which it was obvious that Dr. Groan often tries to use the clinic to care for animals who have no one to care for them. I found one of my cats as a tiny stray kitten. He was very badly hurt and diagnosed with Feline Leukemia, and Dr. Groan never suggested euthanasia. She treated him regularly until he was all better and his body fought off the leukemia. I recently brought him in for a check-up, and he's grown and changed a lot since Dr. Groan saw him last. She ""oohed"" and ""awwed"" over cute he was, and she even scooped him up, hugging him against herself and cuddling him. Now that's a sign of an animal lover! My other cat is not so easy for strangers to get along with and can be quite moody at the vet, making even me feel bad for the staff when I bring him in. They are still always gentle and sweet with him, understanding that they don't always see animals at their best behavior. He once had to be sedated for some testing, and they even kept him in his kennel in Dr. Groan's office since I was worried about other animals stressing him out. I trust the staff here, and I am very picky because my animals are my babies and I love them so much. I would recommend Monroe Animal Health Center to any pet owner.\r more

my dogs went to monroe animal health on 01/28/11 and they received that best care from Dr. West and her Staff any pet could experience. I had Dr. West to do a over all examination of my pets and she took care of both of the will love and care i will from this day on continue to bring my dogs to Dr. West and Staff and highly recommend her services to friends and family. Thanks Dr. West and Staff you have acquired all of my services shelter when i am out of town as well with trust. more

I've returned again and again for over 25 yrs to this vet service. I highly respect both Dr. White and Dr. Groan for the care they have given my pets through the years. Both doctors and staff have shown extreme kindness and understanding when speaking with me concerning end-of-life decisions as my pets have aged. more

I had another vet just KILL a stray dog we inhertited w/o even giving us choices or any $$$ discussion, we were over charged & still ended up not saving a homeless pup! To top it off, I don't think this other remaining nameless vet even DX the animal correctly....Thankfully, Dr White told me what to do over the phone w/ the other homeless stray & THAT pup is thriving!!!! & also what to do w/ my other animals that were exposed to a virus. Pros: Told a complete stranger how to get help w/o charging 4 it! Cons: None to speak of here :) more
