Groan, Sara, Dvm - Monroe Animal Health Ctr

I have yet to receive an apology from Sara Malta Groan & Huston Brent White. Eight+ years ago, I entrusted them with the care of my animals. While I was hospitalized in Shreveport for what turned out to be a case of sepsis and a later cancer diagnosis, these two veterinarians euthanized several of my animals, used them as blood transfusion sources, without my knowledge-permission. All the while, telling me they had been adopted out. This is similiar to the recently uncovered unethical behavior of a veterinarian from Texas. The similar behavior from Drs. White-Groan has, to this date, not resulted in professional penalties against them. They have paid nothing. I have yet to receive an apology of any sort from them. Life is circular. more

will cut a large hole in the neck/shoulder area of a very sweet hound mix in their care / drain off her blood / then use it to transfuse another client's pet. All this done without one iota of knowledge / permission of the "blood donor's" owner/companion. This should have qualified as assault. No respect from this veterinarian concerning prior notice. This person told me nothing / I found out for myself. unethical / opportunistic. shameful. No manners, at all. more

Originally from West Monroe, Louisiana I have used Monroe Animal Health Center for all my animal care. Dr. Sara Groan is caring, compassionate and loving to ALL of her animals. She is a true animal lover. She has never been cruel to ANY animal of mine or any other animal I have witnessed her interactions. When it was time for the euthanizing one of my animals she waited until I was able to be by my cat's side as he passed. She was very kind and compassionate. Dr. Groan volunteers with different animal shelters to help treat those animals that have been forgotten by others. Any animal I have brought in to see Dr. Groan has always left with wonderful care and many hugs and tender treatment. When I moved to Maryland and could not take my cats she helped find homes for all three of them and kept me updated on their placement. The previous review who gave the clinic a one star and suggesting that they are unethical is wrong. After reviewing her review it seemed with her own health problems had too many animals to care for and they suffered from neglect. I am sure Dr. Groan did her VERY BEST to treat and place any animals that were neglected in their care. You can trust Dr. Groan with your animal because she will do everything within her power to care for your animal with the most professional, compassionate, loving and ethical treatments available in modern veterinarian medicine.
