I just used this company yesterday for a trip from Knoxville, TN to Indianapolis, IN. Talk about a total bummer. I was there a little early, about an hour and a half before the bus left. I have never taken a bus so I didn't want any suprises. It was a hassle and I had to pay extra for baggage because I was not informed of their ""limit"" of only one bag under the bus and one carry on bag. Finally time to get on the bus, was not told to form a line or anything so was waiting outside...had to go back in the station, stand in line for 20 minutes to even get the ticket to the driver, and watched them throw, not just sit the luggage in the bottom of the bus, but literally chunk it under there with no regard whatsoever. Sat on the bus for another 45 minutes waiting for the driver to get done talking and smoking with his buddies before we ever left. I'm no genius at this stuff, like I said it was my first time on a bus, but isn't there some law saying they have to go the speed limit???? He was absolutely flying down the road, no regard for safety or other traffic. At one point he stopped on the side of the road, walked off the bus then walked right back on and left again? WTF? Didn't do anything, just stepped off and stepped right back on. When I got to Cincinatti where I had to transfer buses, it was a damn mess. I got my baggage, went inside and almost threw up over the smell. There was a guy that kept going from person to person trying to beg off food money, etc...it took them over an hour to get him out of there. Second driver wasn't as bad, he did the speed limit but was all over the road. Overall, the condition of the stations I was at, the drivers, and the general attitude of the workers associated with Greyhound was a HUGE disappointment. If you choose to go through them, good luck is all I can tell ya.
