bad bookkeeping, great massage 7/5/2009

Good: Massage therapists are wonderful. Plenty of options. Clean lobby and rooms.. Bad: Bookkeeping practices are poor. They don't have statements but just generate ledgers in their place. The ledgers are not specific to the date of one office visit. They are just a running tally that really should be used only for internal purposes. Patients/Clients deserve a clear statement with accurate information.. Improvements: In the event that an insurance claim is denied, I believe the bookkeeper should provide adequate information to accompany the ledger that is sent out. Also, they should not charge the client more than they would charge the insurance company or at the very least should not charge more than a non-insurance client would be charged.. Other: When two of my massages were denied coverage, Green Lake Massage charged me the full amount billed to my insurance ($95) though my insurance only pays a portion of that ($60). Non-insurance patients paying out of pocket pay $75 per hour for massage. Green Lake massage wouldn't budge and charged me the full $95 ($190 for two) per massage. I had been a client for ten years and never gone over my limit of covered massages. Their inflexibility and illegible billing made me walk away after 10 years.. more

Wonderful Experience 5/17/2009

Green Lake massage provides phenomenal services. Their staff is highly experienced, professional, and friendly. They have expertise in both massage and acupuncture, so you are sure to find the services that best suit your needs! I received a gift certificate here and will no doubt be back. It was the best present I have received in a very long time! more

Lifesaver! 5/9/2006

For many years, I've received massages for both therapeutic and injury purposes so I'm somewhat picky. I've been here four times with three different therapists and each one gave a great massage. Two of the massages I would put on my top ten list. The clinic is open 7 days a week with long hours so you can usually get an appointment with 24 hours notice which is great in case of emergency or a last minute treat for yourself. more

Green Lake Massage 4/19/2006

Try this place, they do all kind of massages, from deep to relaxation. All their therapist are licensed and the is very soothing and relaxing. Great customer service, they really pay attention to your pain and it's definitely reimbursable through health insurance. They also have lots of massage therapists available to choose from so the wait period is a lot shorter. more

For me any massage is a good massage. 3/9/2006

I was referred to Green Lake Massage by my doctor after a troubling neck and shoulder stress issue. I do not know a lot about massage, but they helped me considerably and I continue to occasionally treat myself to their caring hands. more

heaven at 6823 oswego pl ne 10/22/2005

i went to greenlake massage health center a few years ago when i hurt my back at work, therefore the massages were free, so of course they were good. but if i made more money i would still be going here twice a week, paying full price, plus a tip!!!!!!!!! there is a woman there by the name of jenna who gives the best massage in the world. she does a mix of swedish and thai massage, (combined with a few other styles). every time i was on the edge of sleep, and for hours afterwards would walk around as if i was drunk, because i felt so good! more

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm 8/16/2005

I work with computers way, way too much. I do what I can to keep myself healthy, but frankly, it's not enough, and that's why massage is important. This place is a mecca for those that are looking for massage treatments. In practice, it acts as an easy place for local massage therapists to come and meet clients. They aren't employeed by the center, but rather give it a cut for the use of it's facilities and paperwork handling. Speaking of paperwork, the center takes most forms of insurance. If you like deep tissue, I can't recommend Eli or Pam highly enough to do them justice. more
