Excellent service 9/16/2011

We have been visiting the clinic for just over 2 years. Our greyhound has been treated by Dr. Willis and Dr. Baugh; both doctors are excellent and I would recommend either one. The staff have always been kind, considerate and helpful, even on the visits when they are experiencing a very busy day. We have a 30 minute drive, one way, to reach the hospital, but it is well worth the drive for the excellent care our dog receives. more

Happy Furry Friends 3/28/2011

I have used GOAH since its inception. Where ever they have been the office and patient visit rooms have been very neat and clean. Have never had a staffer who wasn't friendly and courteous and knew their job. Over time they have cared for 6 Great Danes and 13 cats. Their care has been excellent. Dr. Willis is our favorite. We met her when she was a tech for Dr. Ransom. We have had to use Emergency Vets several times and the communications with Great Oaks has always impressed me. I always encourage people to give them a try. It is just great!! more

Absolutely Wonderful 2/15/2011

I can hardly believe that anyone has had a bad experience here, much less that they though the clinic was not clean. I've been coming here for 3 years and have always had care above and beyond wonderful. I inherited my parent's dog when they passed and they came here for many years also and were always treated kindly. A staff member even came to my mom's funeral. Somebody got up on the wrong side of the bed if they had a bad experience here. more

Great care for your four-legged friends! 9/1/2010

I never worry about taking my dog to Great Oaks Animal Hospital. They are very knowledgable and take very good care of my dog. One of the few vets I've seen actually get down on the floor and play with him before they begin examining him. I wouldn't want to take him anywhere else! more

Great Oaks is the BEST! 4/21/2010

This is the best animal hospital ever! It is worth the drive from South Austin to Round Rock. When our puppy had parvo, they cured her in 2 days. When our cat got ran over by a car, they took care of him and he was walking within a week. They are miracle workers! I love, love, love them. The staff is nice, comforting, professional, and it is obvious they love their job. They're very knowledgeable and they let you know all of your options up front. They also allow payment plans. They're perfect. Dr. Willis is awesome! more

I have been using Great Oaks Animal Hospital for the past 10 to 11 years. I would not dream of taking Jimmy and Chance to another animal hospital. They receive excellent care, the doctors and staff are wonderful. Dr. Willis has got to be the best vet ever, I high recommend her to anyone and have. Thanks Great Oaks, y'all are the best. more

Great Oaks, Top of the Line Veterinarian Care! 11/18/2009

Great Oaks Drive Animal Hosp is a caring, knowledgeable, clean, warm, empathetic, honest place to have your beloved pet cared for. I was astounded as I read some of the other posts and my only thought was they have the name of the clinic wrong as "unclean, dark, dirty" and "rude staff" in NO WAY reflects this establishment. I have been taking my four dogs there for YEARS (about 10) and have never had anything short of wonderful service. Yes, it is a bit pricey, but my experience is that they are comparable to most places around the area. And their expertise and genuine empathy are things you cannot put a price tag on. Love your animal? Take them to Great Oaks and you will know you have done the best thing possible for their health and well being!! more

Great Oaks Drive Animal Hosp. GREAT 11/5/2009

Great Oaks AH is one of the best in the area. The staff is very caring and fun. The doctors are very knowledgeable. The previous post is not accurate. The front lobby (and it's staff) is very bright and cheerful. I truly believe that the person that posted previously went to a different office. There are a few around that area... that fit the description that was given. The only thing I noticed is that some of the front office staff seem cold to other staff members. But other than that good experiences all around! more

Great Oaks Drive Animal Hosp bites 7/24/2009

I am a professional who deals with the public daily. The veterinary care is good enough, but the front office Staff is not worth the added cost. Condescending and rude. Unprofessional and caustic. Just one or two people who affect the tone of the entire place. I've been treated cooly in the past but Have just let it go. I have never been yelled at by a veterinarians office staff before today and never will be again. I will not recommend them to any of my friends or associates ever again, and definitely will find another vet for my animals. No one deserves to be treated so rudely. I have personally let office staff go for MUCH less than what happened to me at this establishment. I Don't recommend them at all unless you enjoy condescion and attempts at humiliation by a minimum wage high school graduate with delusions of grandeur and a bad attitude. No thanks. I treat people nicely and with respect and expect no less in return. more

Fabulous 6/8/2009

I've been using this vet's services for both my cat and dog and have NEVER found a kinder, more professional vet clinic. When I had to put my cat down, they were very compassionate and helpful. Even sent flowers to the house the next day!! Best bet for your pets, hands down. more

Great Vet and Staff! 2/1/2008

I don't know why anyone would say Great Oaks is dark or dirty. They must have confused it with someone else. It is nicer than my doctors office. Clean, well lit with a friendly staff. \r \r I took my dog in after he snapped at friends and actually bit me. It was traumatic. I was afraid my only option was to put him down. Dr. Grimm and her wonderful staff talked me through this difficult situation and explained all of my options. They figured out that he has really bad back pain and that his bad attitude appeared to be resulting from pain and some environmental changes that I hadn't even considered. \r \r They are awesome! more

Excellent Vet 3/22/2007

Dr. Lisa Willis has treated my persian cat, Nadia, for several years now since I moved to Round Rock. She is such a good vet that I still drive the distance to her clinic, since moving away. I highly recommend her to anyone who requires a respectful, caring, intellegent doctor for their pet. Pros: Well Established Practice. Excellent and Friendly Service. Knowledgable Staff. Cons: None. more

That person must be confused with the wrong place or have a bad sense of judgement. The vets there are wonderful and love their jobs and the animals they see and treat. There's no place better! more

wonderful animal hospital!!!!! 7/8/2006

I have been going to Great Oaks for about a year and this is one of the nicest hospitals I have ever seen. The reviewer that described it as icky and clean must have had the wrong hospital, because this is one of the most comfortable and clean hospitals I have ever seen. The reception staff is very friendly and seem to be genuinely concerned about my pets. The nurses are very well trained and friendly and so gentle with my animals. I have seen all three veterinarians at this hospital and all are warm, friendly, gentle, and extremely knowledgable. Dr. Lisa Willis, Dr. Kelli Grimm and Dr. Laura Beth Baugh are very experienced and I trust them implicitly!!! This is not the least expensive hospital I have been to, but having been to another in the area, I definitely feel that you get what you pay for. Great Oaks offers advanced testing and very comprehensive health care and I didn't feel that they were overpriced compared to some animal hospitals I have been to in the past. They we more

Dirty and Cramped 11/15/2005

Although the service I received at Great Oaks Animal Hospital was satisfactory, I was disgusted by the inside of the place. It was dark, dirty and smelled icky. I also felt that we received unnecessary services, which made my bill higher than I expected it would be. However, I was impressed with the vet's helper. She was highly energetic and wonderful with our dog. more

Fabulous Vets Office 11/5/2005

We went to this place for about 5 years when we adopted our dogs from the Humane Society. They were our dogs first introduction to the vet world and our dogs still love going. We have spent so much money there they really should name a wing after us! We have moved on to a new vet office only b/c the location is closer otherwise we would still be going to this office. Their pricing of shots and surgeries is comparable to the new vet office we now visit. PROS: Friendly and Caring Staff CONS: more

Nice Facility, great service 10/6/2005

This is one of the nicer Veterinary clinics in the area. It's clean, the receptionist and techs are extremely nice and the Veterinarians are excellent. I've been there twice with my pet buddy and the experience was a good one. They take the time to find out history and the exams are very thorough. Prices are competitive and a little lower on vaccinations. more
