Our cleaning Lady Maria was thorough and use the Eco friendly products which had no scent. Everything was sparkling when she left. I was so impressed I am now a regular customer. I am a Program Coordinator for a program that services seniors in New York City. My client has a particularly terrible bed bug infestation. The exterminators require an extensive cleaning/decluttering of the entire apartment before they can begin the process of eliminating the problem. Enter Great Green Cleaning: The workers came to my clients home and began what turned out to be an extremely difficult three day job. The workers were O'Neil, Suzanne, Caroline, Myra, and Lindsay. They were thorough and efficient. They were pleasant, and very personable (especially considering the extent of the work) just absolutely WONDERFUL!!! \r \r The job required that all items to be discarded be wrapped in plastic and bagged a certain way. The workers used their entire supply of bags on the first visit and they discarded enough refuse to fill two dumpsters. In addition to getting all of the clutter removed they washed dishes that had been in my opinion rendered useless. Once they were finished the items looked new. The apartment needed a very extensive cleaning job as well. Once they left the refrigerator was spotless, as was the entire kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. \r \r The two things that remain among the most notable for me were the kindness of the office staff , as well as the integrity of the workers. Jodi, Mary and May were really patient with us as there were several matters with the clients family. They handled them, (and me) with great care. Finally the workers found several stacks of cash while they were working. They placed it in a bag to be given the the clients brother. I think the service is worth every penny spent. Whenever I visit New York I stay at my friends 1 bedroom apartment in the Village. I always have a cleaning service come in the day I'm leaving to restore the place to it's former beauty ( He's a decorator and I am a bit of a slob ) . Who cleans when they are on vacation right? I've been doing this for years- and I think I have probably tried every cleaning service in New York with mixed miserable results. I finally found Great Green Cleaning - there was a card in the building and one of the neighbors said he uses them weekly- so I liked that I had a personal recommendation. You can see I'm new on Yelp -and I don't bother writing reviews, but Great Green Cleaning was FANTABULOUS - I had to write about them. Of course I called last minute because I wasn't sure what day I was leaving - no problem - they get me someone for the next morning. The man on the phone was cool and smart - set me up for a basic 4 hour cleaning- that's all I needed. They were $10 cheaper than the last service I used - so good price, plus they were giving a free hour of cleaning to the neighbor that recommended me, NICE!. AND they were going to bring everything so I didn't have to go to the store and make sure my friend ( who never has any cleaning supplies ) has cleaning supplies. The woman arrives exactly on time, and very friendly - shows me her ID - gives me a big smile - introduces herself - I think that just being on time may have been a first as most of the other cleaning services gave me an arrival window - so I had to wait an hour to get a cleaning NO THANKS. This lady was like ZENA the Warrior Princess of cleaning ( but she was short like less than 5 feet ) She lays out all her gear like this is a tactical mission and goes to work. I went out for brunch and came back like 3 hrs later- the place was shinning. She even organized my personal mess! This blew me away. For the last hour ( since I was paying for 4 hours) She washed the windows in the living room. I didn't even know he had a view- they were filthy. This experience was so much better than the others - no comparison. I will only use Great Green Cleaning when I need Maid Service. I totally recommend these guys- they knocked the ball right out of the park. more

I am a graphic artist with a very large cat who sheds and makes a mess. My space needs to be very clean. It is very frustrating to have cat hair in my paint. I have a friend who is an artist who recommended Great Green Cleaning and I tried them a few weeks ago. I called a few other places first to check prices and could not believe that most people don't answer the phone at all- why advertise if you are not going to answer your phone. Here's what I liked: 1-they took my phone call at night and I didn't get voice mail - got a real person who actually knew what they were talking about. 2- they spoke English and understood what I needed ie: don't touch my computer or stereo make sure you get all the cat hair out of my office do not use any liquids on my art work on the walls 3- they scheduled my cleaning for the next evening ( I work nights ) so I like that I didn't have to do it 9 to 5 and they set it up for my schedule so I could be there. 4- they said they would bring everything - so I didn't have to worry about figuring out what I had and what I was out of 5- they said their stuff was pet safe so I didn't have to worry about Fatcat getting sick from the cleaning supplies Here's what I didn't like: 1- The lady who cleaned was very fast but she didn't get the cat hair thoroughly and she forgot to empty the litter box. It may be that she didn't want to empty it- she wasn't too happy with the huge cat hair mess I had. But that is why I called a cleaning service. 2- I was uncomfortable and didn't want to complain or upset her so I didn't say anything to her about it. Here's what I liked the most. 1- The person who set up my cleaning called me at the end of the cleaning to see how everything went. I didn't want to complain - I just wanted to move on - yell at my friend for a bad recommendation and find a cleaning service that gets the cat hair out. So I said ""The cleaning was OK."" and the person said ""That's not good enough for us - you don't sound really happy with your cleaning, we want you to be delighted, that's why you called us and we have a 100% satisfaction guarantee."" 2- Then he gets a list from me of what I wasn't happy with. 3- Then he puts a manager on the phone who apologizes profusely, sets me up with a free re-do cleaning for the next evening at no charge! And says we must have missed that you have a cat - we will send you one of our pet specialists. I could hardly believe this - but they say they do everything. So I said OK. So here's the upshot -- I don't write a lot of reviews but I had to write this. The lady Suzanne , who came the next night was totally the best. not only was she really nice and cheerful, she changed the litter went over every surface in my house and office got all the cat hair she had a night available in her schedule so I have her coming once a week and the best part is Fatcat actually likes her so she can do cat care when I am out of town. I thought this was going to be a disaster and I was so wrong. No one is perfect, everyone screws up now and then - but Great Green apparently knows how to make things right. And I don't have to be pissed at my friend for telling me that Great Green Cleaning is the best cleaning service in Manhattan. Now I agree with him. more

I am a professional Nanny in Manhattan and work a zillion hours ( being on call nights and weekends as well ). So No way do I have time to clean. I am also very cautious about who I trust in my home. I had a bad experience with some missing jewelry from a Craigs list cleaner a few months ago and I haven't had a cleaning in a while - I was nervous about another bad experience. But the dirt won -- it got to be too much And I have a mountain of laundry and dishes from being gone all the time. A friend of mine recommended Great Green Cleaning. She's been using them for 6 months and is very happy, but I was still worried after the craigs list thing. So I read all the reviews on all of the review sites to check other peoples experiences of this company. Then I filled out an on line inquiry for a free estimate on their web site and got a call in less than 15 minutes. The man on the phone was very helpful and smart about my estimate. Then I spoke to a manager who helped with my fears about the craigslist experience and she sent me their insurance information. So I know they are professional and for real. They had a crew at my house the next day and although it was costly ( I hadn't had a cleaning in months ) it was SO worth it. The ladies that came had photo ID, and brought all the supplies ( whew ) and really understood what I needed. One woman- Maria- was so sweet. I felt very safe and comfortable Marie is now my regular person and comes every other week. If I could afford it - she would be here every week. Don't hesitate to call this company. They really went the extra mile to take care of me. more

I just used Great Green Cleaning, with Loura, she was absolutely AMAZING!! I live in a condo in Brooklyn and we are a bit messy. Although I am not number one at giving directions she was able to go ABOVE and BEYOND what I asked. We also have a cat and a dog and when she left there was no animal hair anywhere. NO one has accomplished that before. I would recommend that if you live in the city and if you are kinda messy like we are or have pets, call and ask for Loura!! Unbelievably clean! Two women from Great Green Cleaning Service came to work on my apartment- Mira and Annette. They were phenomenal. I have not seen the apartment this clean since we moved in- they are so detailed and efficient and the hardest workers. On top of all that, they are so pleasant and upbeat. I can't recommend them more highly, This was an Extremely thorough and spotless cleaning. Ask for these two young ladies when you call for your cleaning. and you will be happy with the results more

I was very impressed with the cleaning of Michele and Ofelia and with Zac, the business manager. My job was a last minute, one-time clean for a move in. I called Great Green and within 20 minutes, I had arranged for a next-day, Sunday morning cleaning. I worked alongside the 2 cleaners for 4 hours and was completely satisfied. Great Green Cleaning Rocks! Lillian is SO awesome and thorough--my home was transformed and she is a pro. I work several jobs and just don't have time to clean so I was thrilled to find a wonderful, personable, professional company that doesn't use the harsh chemicals found in many products that my son is allergic to. Also, in the past when I've hired individuals to come clean I couldn't really tell the difference when they were done...not so in this case! On the basis of all their stellar reviews, booked service. It took three calls and 22 minutes on final call (i checked my cell phone) to do an estimate on a 600 sq ft studio apartment! They double pre-charged my card, maid was late making me late for an appointment. Came back to find things like garbage can weren't even moved to sweep/mop under, ball of hair left in bathroom sink, streaks across TV and white film on counters. Maybe green, but nowhere near great. I just checked last few excellent ratings and they were all posted within last 24 hours and each person just happened to post their review as their first ever. Fishy! My daughter bought a Living Social coupon for me as a gift and I finally had the courage to use it. Otherwise my place would still be a mess. Very nice people- I spoke to a lady named Mary, she was very kind and set up my cleaning for the 4 hour gift. I knew they couldn't clean my mess in 4 hours but that was what the coupon was for and I can't afford more so they was nice about it. The lady who cleaned didn't make me feel bad about the mess. Just a nice hard working gal who scrubbed the dirt away. My kitchen and bathroom look like new and I wish I could have the whole place done. more

The people at Great Green Cleaning are a joy. They are very customer-centric, intelligent and pay great attention to detail. I use them to clean my office. It's a shared space and I am responsible for the cleaning. The young man they sent did an impeccable job and he was quietly respectful while he worked. I had to ask him to re-do a window he completely missed and it was no problem, he smiled, apologized and left the window shinning. Delighted to have this handled after loosing a private person that cleaned for us reliably for 2 years. No worries, I just call and they show up when I need them. I have been using Great Green Cleaning for a while now. I work all the time, but I simply e-mail my account specialist Zach and he always fits me in and asks when I would like the cleaning person to be there. She shows up on time, the company has my keys, the place gets cleaned, and I come home to a spotless apartment. It is more expensive than what I used years ago when I had a private maid. But I do not want second rate service. If anybody wants a company they can trust with dependable customer service and thorough cleaners - Great Green is the way to go. more

I call these guys when I have company coming over and I can't take the mess. My mother was coming last weekend - I called Great Green at night - next morning the girls were there working very quickly - beautiful! I picked my Mom up at the airport, she comes in and says Earnest I'm proud of you, your place looks beautiful. Wink Wink. You should try them - they're good. I like these guys. more
