Granelli's Pizza

We've ordered weekly from Granelli's in Parker for at least the last year and loved the pizza. However, the last 3-4 times the pizza has arrived very late (took and hour and a half for delivery with no call letting us know it would be that late), very over-cooked and cold. The first 2 times we let it go since the pizza has been good before and during one of the orders it had snowed earlier in the day. However, tonight we had to call and complain. I started my call with ""we love your pizza and are loyal customers but we've had some issues of late..."" I didn't even finish my sentence before the owner stated he is not in the habit of giving discounts on pizza and that I should find a new place to get pizza. Wow. I have never experienced this level of service--EVER. Granelli's was a good place but unfortunately we can't support them any longer after that level of service. If they had made it right we wouldn't have had an issue...and as long as it didn't keep happening going forward more

The pizza seems to be made from good quality ingredients. The staff is young and friendly. Delivery needs a little work. Good overall for Parker. more

Granellis's delivery is well below average. Ordered a pizza and waited one and half hours, and they said it was on the way. Told them we would like to cancel and they said they would never deliver to us again - please do us that favor, we don't want to wait two hours for a pizza. more

My family and I had lunch at Granelli's today and had hot dogs and pizza. I realize it is a different combination of food but it's what we were in the mood for. The woman doing everything was the sole positive from our trip and I know we will never be in the mood for Granelli's ever again. The hot dogs were average at best but no where near the ""special"" price of 2 dogs, chips, and soda for $7. Then there is the so called pizza, I would call it dressed up frozen cardboard. Seriously, I have had better frozen pizza from King Soopers. Plus I thought this was a Chicago eatery, where is the staple deep dish pie? Needless to say I will never frequent Granelli's ever again and I hope everyone that sees this takes my advise and avoids the disappointment I experienced. more

After being patrons of the Castle Rock location we were hooked. While driving around in Parker we remembered that they had just opened another store there, a little hard to find for the first timer but other then that a prime location. After getting a warm welcome and ordering service from the owner, we were seated by a pleasant waitress. We waited, at max, 20 minuites for our food and loved every bit of it. Once we came around to the check the owner came by and we shared stories of the Windy city for at least an hour. What people don't seem to understand is that when you're from Chicago, or any large city for that matter, you have a hard stubborn personality and you tend to defend what's yours. We have eaten in the restaurant and had terrible service. The pizza is good though. Since, I have ordered their pizza often for delivery and have been satisfied (runs about 45 - 75 minutes) but I ordered today and have been told I am on the ""$3 Charge"" list. Why? Because they believe I have not tipped in the last few deliveries... stating I had only tipped the ""driver $0.05 on our delivery of a few pizzas the last time""... LOL I have never ordered more than one small or medium pizza... I have always tipped $5+ but they started to argue with me actually quite rudely. He stated my pizza was already on its way and my price was $3 more. Fine, I will pay it but this is the last time I will ever order pizza from them... Unfortunately, the driver paid the price. This is not the only issue with service I have had with them. The owner is completely rude and unprofessional. Hi, We received a coupon for two large one topping pizzas a while back. I called in and asked if we could get 2 toppings on one and just plain on the other. I asked for the manager on the phone and they said they where the manager. I said you won't do that request for me. They sold dude I am already taking it in the ass and you want me to do a special request. I hung up and never went back. Pros: How can We Not Help You. more

We are so disappointed! We've dined in and had food delivered since their start in Castle Rock. Service was ok but the food was always great! The owners were always great and corrected any wrongs and made right! But since the opening of the Parker Store and the owners weren't in Castle Rock and the ""manager"" took over the CR store things got bad. After 3 times in a row, coming to pick up our pizza at the time we were told to pick up and our pizza was just being started, having to wait for our food over 20 minutes, that on top that 3 times our order wasn't just late but was wrong, not an apology or an offer to prepare our food as we ordered it, the manager was rude with an attitude that he was doing us a favor and basically it was take it or leave it. We moved to Parker only to find not only similar poor service but half the menu not available. I could understand if it was something ""special"" but how does an Italian rest. run out of spaghetti? Then only to be called that the moscatalli they offered as a substitute was not available either. We had to get ravioli. The other part of our order was a ""stuffer pizza"" with veggie and charged extra for items such as olives in a veggie entree? I could understand if many items were added and especially meats but olives and mushrooms in a veggie entree? At $65,00 for basically 2 calzones, ravioli and a salad seems to be rather steep, especially when it wasn't what we wanted to begin with, spaghetti would have been great! Again, the attitude was they were doing us a favor to allow us to purchase food from them. It's very sad as the owners are wonderful hard working people and their food, just the best but poor service and no food that you want doesn't make getting a ""treat"" of a night off of cooking, disappointing at best. What a great establishment, wonderful food and a great staff, I have never once had a problem with my order, the food is always fresh, hot and tasty! If you haven't tried this place yet I would highly recommend doing so!! Pros: Great food and great people Cons: Nothing!! more

We went in for pizza and asked the waitress about toppings there was a miscommunication on price and when we got our bill we asked the waitress, she had made it sound like the toppings were not extra. When we inquired the owner came out with a very big attitude and while I was just trying to explain the miscommunication she lifted up her hand and with a lot of sarcasm said "" Have you EVER ordered a pizza before"" and when still trying to explain she kept interrupting and being rude when we said we wouldn't come back she said ""Well if you are too stupid to know how ordering a pizza works then I don't want you back"" That was the last straw we paid and left with the waitress apologizing for her owners behavior. this is a great place for pizza it is not the old Aurelios. Granellis had a restaurant in Castle Rock and moved into the Aurelios store front. I agree with the poor reviews on Aurelios but you should give Granellis a chance it is some of the best pizza in the denver area. Not quite Chicago but veryyyy good. Myhusband and I go nowhere else for pizza now that we know about Aurelio's. We go to Parker twice a month just to see Chris the manager and have our favorite food. Also good are the salads. Pros: Great pizza, great service, well priced Cons: 20 miles away more

I do not recommend Aurelio's for one reason: The Worst Service. This is unfortunate because they have some of the absolute best pizza in the whole Denver area, very good food, and a nice setting. But lousy service & attitudes right up through management. If you don't mind not getting what you want when you order it, then everything else about the restaurant is great.
