Grande Palace

This place was fantastic. I had my birthday there and added on foie gras and the porterhouse steak to my menu and i was stunned at how good the food was. From the second I walked into the room my mouth was watering. The salads looked as good as they tasted and everything went well together. Igor - the food expert - was so passionate about everything and really made the night spectacular. I'll definitely be coming back, and not just for a big party this time but for dinner. Best place ever. Wow was the food great. I was skeptical about having a large anniversary party thinking the food would not be all that great, but this place was fantastic. I couldn?t believe the quantity and quality of the food. The waiters were prompt and attentive and the musicians were a blast. I am definitely coming back! Pros: Delicious Food, Great music! We celebrated my friend?s b-day there and have made a reservation a week before. Waiters are extremely inexperienced. Food orders were mixed up, someone was completely forgotten. It took about two hours to deliver the dinner for the group of eight and place was everything else than busy. Music is too loud, food is overpriced and the restaurant adds up the automatic service charge that is added to the bill. This does not include gratuity! We were also not informed at time of booking that there is a minimum charge (about $80) and a separate service charge (probably a common thing in all russian restaurants). Only when we went to place our order, we were informed of this. All this is not acceptable. I will not recommend this place for anyone, even though the place itself is glamorous with beautiful decor. more
