Best

I have now stayed at the Venetian twice for work. While I find that most things in Vegas are way over priced, the Gran Lux Cafe is awesome. It's affordable and you get a lot of gr...

Great food 10/2/2005

Hands-down the best 24-hour restuarant in Vegas. Great food, great service. more

Who knew??!!! 4/26/2005

Just had breakfast here this morning and we still can't believe how good it was. Step aside all you 'couture' dining spots because this place is spot on. The quality of the ingredients and the perfect way our meals were prepared was frankly a shock (quite pleasant shock!) Even my English muffins were wonderful - thick sourdough, slightly chewy, clearly homemade. Had the Baja omelet and it was overflowing with wonderful flavors of ripe avocado, roasted pepper, chipotle salsa. Service was outstanding, very friendly and super attentive. This is the best value in town. Sad to say, but better than Bouchon. Really. Pros: Food, Value, Service Cons: Long wait sometimes more

Very Vegas 12/21/2004

Eating here is fun, especially considering what awaits you outside the entrance. I have been going here for years, and although I do still enjoy it, I must be honest and say that things seem to be slowly going down... the food, the service and the friendliness. The prices however are slowly going up! There are many things I like on the menu, but the desserts don't make me go nuts at all, as they are just average. Pros: 24 hours, Ambiance, Salads and sandwiches more

THE GRAND LUX, LOCATED INSIDE THE VENETIAN HOTEL AND CASINO WAS A GREAT CULINARY EXPERIENCE. AS MOST PEOPLE WHO RATE THIS PLACE AGREE, THE PORTIONS ARE HUGE! IF YOU WANT AN EXCELLENT DEAL, JUST GO IN WITH SOMEONE, ORDER ONE OF THEIR MANY APPETIZERS, AND I GUARANTEE YOU THAT YOU WILL BOTH HAVE TROUBLE FINISHING IT. SERVICE WAS ALWAYS SUPERB. ONE OF THE ABSOLUTE BEST VALUES IN THE VENETIAN. Pros: FOOD, SERVICE, VALUE more

You've Gotta Go 2/22/2003

Had the chicken venetian which was served with parmesian potato and ordered side of glazed carrots. Platter came out with 3 large pieces of boneless breast, smothered with large muschrooms and a creamy but light sauce. For dessert we had the choclate bread pudding with Bailey's cream sauce. From the understated table setting to the smoke-free and relaxed setting, it was a lunch to remember. Would definitely recommend this to you! Pros: delicious entrees, good sized portions, many options more

Outstanding 2/21/2003

I'm from New Orleans and currently live near NYC so I've had access to really good food. I was impressed with the food, the way it was served, the price and the service. Ate there on two different trips and it never let me down. I recommend it to everybody who goes there. Pros: Price, Variety Cons: Close seating more

It Was Fantastic!!! Worth the Gamble 12/6/2002

I stayed at the Venetian in July, and I was able to enjoy the cusine at the Grand Lux Cafe. I ordered the Spaghetti, and the Sauce they used was out of this world. I would love to have the recipe. They also have a very good breakfast as well. One thing they could do, however, is reduce the size of their portions. My sister and I agreed that you could order 1 plate and share it with 6 other people. Not very wise in a health consious society. But other than that, The food was fabulous, and I would definitely go back! more

Back Again & Again! 11/11/2002

We love this place for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or in between. Portions are very generous. Have not had a bad meal there yet. Love the variety on the menu. If you're in a hurry and the line is long, they serve a full menu at the bar. Pros: large portions, great quality, lunch prices til 4pm Cons: often crowded, service is up &down more

Large Portions, Good Desserts 11/8/2002

We stayed at the Venetian for 5 nights and 3 of those was spent having a late dessert at Grand Lux. My hubby fell in love with the ""Lemon Poudcake"". He cried on the nights when it sold out. t Great cosmos at any table, not just the bar. Huge portions, since its designed and operated by the famous ""Cheesecake Factory"" folks. Look around -- it actually reminds you of the cheesecake factories around the country. Great ambience, definitely an all around good spot to grab a bite, talk to friends, and have a few drinks. The capuccino is good too! Rservations not required! Pros: Portions, Service, Ambience Cons: Prices -- not cheap! more

Great food at the greatest place in vega 10/21/2002

Had one of the best cheeseburgers i've ever had. and what a great place to have it, the best casino on the strip, the Venetion!!!!! if you want huge portions then this is the place for you, and although they don't advertise this, they have a breakfast buffet that is awesome(strangely enough the venetion does not have a buffet, kinda weird) Pros: big portions, great atmosphere, good price Cons: parking sucks; valet more

Consistently Excellent 10/18/2002

Great embiance, great food, great variety, great service, great prices. more

It's too good to let everyone in on it! 9/25/2002

We discovered the Grand Lux several years ago and were thrilled! We have long loved The Cheesecake Factory. The Grand Lux is just as good without the long waits. Many times we have gone to The Cheesecake Factory to find an hour plus wait, then checked the Grand Lux and were able to get right in. The last time we were in Vegas (Aug 2002) we realized that a lot of people had figured out the same secret and there was a short wait (5-10 min). It was still great food, great service. We can't wait to come back. Pros: Open 24 hours! Cons: Not intimate more

Huge portions but mediocre food. 7/17/2002

This restaurant, like its sister restaurant The Cheesecake Factory, offers insanely huge portions at decent prices. We ate here on a Tuesday night and had a pretty decent dinner. If you are into girly drinks, try their watermelon martini- very good. Food was ok but nothing special- we had sandwiches and pastas at our table. Since the menu is so huge, they can't really specialize on one type of food, so overall quality is not super. Also, nobody carries a doggie bag around Vegas, so the super-huge portions are pretty much a waste. Personally, I would rather go to a specialized restaurant and get higher-quality food. I would only come here again if we had a large group and couldn't decide on what type of food to eat. Pros: huge portions, large menu, open 24 hours Cons: food quality lacking more

Makes you feel like the Paroh-Tutt 6/21/2002
