Hate this post office. Incredibly inefficient. Keeps its lights on all night and never responds to customer service complaints.

Gracie is among the better POs 11/2/2010

I feel compelled to defend Gracie Post Office. I have had consistently efficient and pleasant interactions with the staff. Many have been there for years and know their customers by name. Yes, sometimes service is slow due to understaffing -- but that's not the workers' fault. Any time I have had delivery problems, they are quick to resolve them and point me to the correct people (say, at the central FDR station) if they can't. So please consider my vote of support in this barrage of criticisms. more

It's all relative. 8/10/2010

I'm possibly the last person in the world to defend rude clerks and abysmal customer service. I hear you. On the other hand, I use the UES post offices a lot, as I work from home, and I have to say...Gracie Station is far and above the best of the bunch. I've had some lovely conversations with the clerks there - even during incredibly busy holiday seasons. I have found them to be helpful and patient and pretty quick to move the line along. On those days when I visit the PO already feeling impatient and annoyed, yes...my experience there can be less than wonderful, but that's really more about me than it is them. We all have tough days -- on both sides of that counter [can you say: ""Exit...JetBlue Inflatable Slide""?]. more

the ruddiest clerk I've ever dealt with!!! 7/8/2010

I went to pick up my parcel today, then I had to deal with the laziest and the ruddiest clerk at the pick up window.\r \r She was moving so so slow and had this ""I am too lazy and tired to deal with you."" look on her face all the time.\r I can't believe my husband and I are paying a huge amount of tax to pay her salary. If she is not willing to serve her customers in a good manner, she shouldn't have taken the job in the first place.\r Cons: the laziest and the ruddiest clerk more

The Worst Post Office-PERIOD! 2/18/2010

This is the worst post office I’ve ever been to. Today I was insulted by a lazy and obnoxious clerk. She looked like was drinking all night. I filed a complaint report with USPS. Stay away from this post office. It’s a disgrace that they use our money to hire uneducated morons. Fire them all, maybe they will learn their lesson. Cons: rude clerks, never ending lines, dirty place more

going postal 11/23/2009

Give me a day when I have to deal with the US post office and I want to pull the covers over my head. Change has come alright and I don't like it. Do they hire former inmates? Come to think of it, wasn't Son of Sam a postal worker? The customer service people at the windows are charm school drop outs. I can go in there in a good mood and after five minutes I feel like I am in the mental ward. Their snarling faces and snotty remarks make me feel like they want to fight rather than weigh my parcel. We all get to stand in line while they put hand lotion on or talk on the cell phone. It's no good to argue or complain because they dismiss you and make you go back in line and wait like a fool. Can you tell it's happened to me? Why do we have to put up with it? WE PAY THEIR SALARIES. Invest in FedEx because they are getting the post offices' business more and more. Cons: depressing experience more
