I'm possibly the last person in the world to defend rude clerks and abysmal customer service. I hear you. On the other hand, I use the UES post offices a lot, as I work from home, and I have to say...Gracie Station is far and above the best of the bunch. I've had some lovely conversations with the clerks there - even during incredibly busy holiday seasons. I have found them to be helpful and patient and pretty quick to move the line along. On those days when I visit the PO already feeling impatient and annoyed, yes...my experience there can be less than wonderful, but that's really more about me than it is them. We all have tough days -- on both sides of that counter [can you say: ""Exit...JetBlue Inflatable Slide""?].
