Went to new Church today....to check it out. They had Police directing traffic to get into the Parking lot, there were so many cars and I didn't know where to park and the buildings were Huge.....looked like I was going to High School or College not Church...tons of people rushing in. Greeter, ""Tommy"" older gentleman big smile and very pleasant, holding the door and said Hello to me. Once I got inside it was like I was attending a concert, tons of people and lots of music and flashing lights. The music was Fantastic, the beautiful sounds of many instruments and beautiful voices of the people on stage. I really enjoyed the music. Then Pastor Altman spoke about Belonging and how we should all belong and no one should be alone. He is so right !! He is a great speaker and I really enjoyed his words of wisdom. He spoke about many things and how we can all look out for each other and help one another. It didn't feel the inside of the Church matched with what Pastor Altman was saying. I did not feel like I belonged and no one inside of the Church ever spoke to me (exception was the outside greeter, ""Tommy"" but he had to greet me that was his job.) Why isn't anyone talking to me, welcoming me and acknowledging me. This is a family church why aren't we talking to the people next to us saying good morning how are you? Why are we not connecting with each other, where's the Home and Love feeling.....it's on the stage. I feel like I attended a Big production Show, but missed out on the real commitment from all the people around me.\r Where's the commitment to spread the Love. Okay, yes it needs to come from me, too! I attempted to talk to people several times and they seemed uninterested. Obviously, your doing many things right or you wouldn't have such a high attendance. I thank-you for the day and I do plan on coming back again. I may sound a little judgemental but don't you want me to be honest with you like I'am with my Best friend. I thought so.....Many Blessings and thanks more

This church is a life changer and a life saver! My family was never able to find a church home until we stumbled upon Grace Family. The moment we walked into the door we knew we were home...home in a house of God. The pastors are outstanding with a huge commitment to the Lord while also understanding the struggles that the average person deals with in life. The sermons are relevant to what happens in our daily lives while still staying true to the word of the Bible. My family has grown spirituality in the 2 years we have attended and we look forward to continued growth and learning for many many years to come! more

Ministers are Lay-People 3/28/2011

These pastors are all lay-people. Not one of them has a seminary degree. How do they without any training do any counseling.? We make fun of the Mormons And Jehovah Witness because their ministers are laypeople. WHAT MAKES THESE MINISTERS ANY DIFFERENT? 2 churches one in the Midwest and 1 on the west coast have had their churches sued ( both were large with congregations close to 10,000) both have no money and the churches and ministers were found by the courts guilty for not being properly trained and degreed. This can be a disaster. What gives these ministers the right to be ministers? If they really wanted to be proper ministers wouldn't they get the proper degree? How do you tell what they tell you is right? They are no more degreed and don't know much more about Counseling or God Or The Bible than you do more

The best church in the world 12/28/2009

It has been several years and between 10 and 15 churches we have been to since we moved out of the area. We are no focusing on trying to get back to this church. We have never grown so much spiritually, seen the Holy Spirit at work or been part of a family like we were here. We found one church that comes in second here in PA, but it is miles behind. There is no church that meets every aspect of life and every walk of life as much as this one does. the men's groups are awesome, the woman's groups can not be out done and the children's programs are the best in the nation... The preaching is convicting, powerful, Holy Spirit lead and Craig is truly used by god to spread his word. I would fly in every weekend if I had the $. We miss GFC so much!!! Pros: Everything is a pro here. Cons: No cons that I can think of. more
