Went to new Church today....to check it out. They had Police directing traffic to get into the Parking lot, there were so many cars and I didn't know where to park and the buildings were Huge.....looked like I was going to High School or College not Church...tons of people rushing in. Greeter, ""Tommy"" older gentleman big smile and very pleasant, holding the door and said Hello to me. Once I got inside it was like I was attending a concert, tons of people and lots of music and flashing lights. The music was Fantastic, the beautiful sounds of many instruments and beautiful voices of the people on stage. I really enjoyed the music. Then Pastor Altman spoke about Belonging and how we should all belong and no one should be alone. He is so right !! He is a great speaker and I really enjoyed his words of wisdom. He spoke about many things and how we can all look out for each other and help one another. It didn't feel the inside of the Church matched with what Pastor Altman was saying. I did not feel like I belonged and no one inside of the Church ever spoke to me (exception was the outside greeter, ""Tommy"" but he had to greet me that was his job.) Why isn't anyone talking to me, welcoming me and acknowledging me. This is a family church why aren't we talking to the people next to us saying good morning how are you? Why are we not connecting with each other, where's the Home and Love feeling.....it's on the stage. I feel like I attended a Big production Show, but missed out on the real commitment from all the people around me.\r
Where's the commitment to spread the Love. Okay, yes it needs to come from me, too! I attempted to talk to people several times and they seemed uninterested. Obviously, your doing many things right or you wouldn't have such a high attendance. I thank-you for the day and I do plan on coming back again. I may sound a little judgemental but don't you want me to be honest with you like I'am with my Best friend. I thought so.....Many Blessings and thanks
