Overrated 5/15/2007

New Lunch Menu Burgers 4/25/2007

The new burgers recently put on the lunch menu are mind blowing! try all of them, you won't be able to stop. By far my favorite place to get a burger when I get the crave! Girls beware- your husband or boyfriend may become addicted. more

One of the best restaurants on the Eastside 4/2/2007

We visit Gordy's regularly, mostly for dinner (I find their breakfasts very blah). I recently saw that they had started serving some new burgers so we headed there for a Saturday lunch. These burgers were half pound and they were fabulous! In-n-Out is my favorite, but Gordy's is a very close second. We will go there for lunch now more often. more

Best Service EVER!!!! 11/6/2005

My husband and I went to eat here on Saturday night and our server was not only knowledgable about the food, wine, beer, and desserts, she was kind and really seemed to care. The food was great, I didn't really want to watch football during dinner, but no matter. I felt that our patronage was appreciated and our opinion valued. WE WILL GO BACK! Food misses the mark. 10/20/2005

Location: Tukwila Meal: Cup of gumbo; Half rack of pork ribs, potato salad. Gumbo was more akin to a vegetable soup, but adequately flavored. Ribs were disappointing. Apparently uses a rub with only slight sauce. Result was flavorless and very disappointing. Potato salad lacked something...tang, maybe? It was mostly flavorless. Service was terrific. Wait staff is friendly, warm, and made me feel comfortable. Atmosphere was earthy, warm, and comfortable. The kind of place one would like to sit and talk with friends for hours. This is an adult atmosphere and romantic in an evening setting. I would not recommend for young children. Pros: Atmosphere, Service Cons: Food more

Pretentious 5/29/2005

I went out of my way to try Gordy's because of the good reviews. I wouldn't go again unless I wanted to impress someone. It's pretentious -- very yuppie decor, yuppie menu. This is the sort of place where you would eat ribs with a fork and knife. The salad was much better than I expected, but the barbecue was ordinary. Great Place! 11/29/2004

Outstanding restaurant - I could cut the fillet with a fork. Dined there four times, not crowded yet. Ambiance is romantic, fireplace in DR overlooking golf course, excellent wine selection. The desserts are to die for - Surpasses any Chicago or Dallas Steak house I have visited. I bring all my out of town guests there who are tired of seafood (but they do have a good pan fried catfish). John, the bartender/waiter treated us like we were gold. He made the best tasting drinks I have had at any bar. Try his cosmopolitan. His smile was contagious. Well worth a visit. Pros: Tasty, Friendly, Great Service more

Good Food, Good Times! 6/1/2004

Gordy's is outstanding in food and service! I have eaten there many times and tried everything from the brisket to the prime rib to Gordy's AWEWSOME hotwings. My mouth is watering just thinking about those hotwings. They make awesome Lemon Drops in the bar and if you're really brave try Goryd's special Bloody Mary! Great, great steak & brisket. I'm from the south and I smoke meat - This is the best BBQ within 1500 miles, and the best steak I've ever had. Locals know of this place so it can be crowded - get reservations. Same restaurant (larger) opens in Tukwila in June - should cut wait time. Filet better than the Met, great desserts, excellent wine stock. Owner stops by your table every time to check on your meal. Great BBQ. I have been multiple times and had pork and beef--- they do a very good job with both. Baked beans are.... different. A favorite when coming back from skiing at Snoqualmie. Pros: Great Food, Reasonable Prices, On a Golf Course Cons: crowded on weekends more
