Goodyear Auto Service

This is the worst experience I've ever had with any business in my life. I accepted the fact that Good Year was charging $100 for the diagnostic, although more stores didn't, since I assumed they would charge more reasonably on the actual repair but I was shocked at their dishonesty for charging me for an extra hour of labor service which is roughly $100. That is already $200 more than most auto repair stores. In addition, their hourly rate is much higher than other local repair centers. What angered me the most though was that they charged me an additional $300 for something that could have been done for free at another auto repair store. This is definitely a place to AVOID at all costs. more

Best service in town. I have 4 vehicles serviced at Goodyear, always friendly and very good at explaining what is needed on my vehicles, as well as upcoming preventive maintenance. They also always give me a written estimate. They also give you a full year warranty on repairs. I recently had a pulling problem on my wife"s van, they found a bad tire and adjusted it, then checked my history and found I was under warranty for a a previous alignment 9 months ago, and did another alignment free- no questions asked! more

I took my car there for an oil change on a Saturday afternoon. Empty bays...figured it'd be a quick in and out. After 45 minutes, they told me the car was overdue for a safety inspection. Although I'd bought the car only 11 months ago, I told them to go ahead and do it. 20 minutes later they told me it had failed the inspection, due to bald tires. They gave me a $700 estimate for a new set. \r \r I told them that I wasn't about to make a decision w/out consulting my husband, paid them $42, and left, only to discover they'd removed the sticker from the windshield, which meant I had to drive to work on Sunday and Monday risking a ticket. A bit of research revealed that although the tires certainly needed to be replaced, they were on the border of legally acceptable, and the car should have passed the inspection.\r \r They're the only game in town on Sunday, but I took the risk, and bought tires from someone else on Monday - better tires, for less money, with no add-on charges for balancing a more

Definitely visit this tire store / automotive repair shop as a last resort. Whether it's for a straight tire purchase, or for a simple repair, you can guarantee you'll be pushed hard to buy more than you need. For instance, on a flat repair, perfectly fine tires (the ones w/o the flat) "won't pass inspection". The list of sins goes on. Buy your Goodyears elsewhere. Repair you car yourself (even if you don't know what you're doing). PROS: None. CONS: Pick anything bad you can think of. more
