Had a great initial meeting with them and signed a contract for a big job. They told me they were going to come and never showed up. I Had to hunt them down to find out what the deal was. Once they arrived they tried to do a bait and switch by up-charging everything. Once the system was installed it did sound good, but had major problems. They were very slow to respond to my problems. The owner of the company was just satisfied to get his money and not about servicing his clients. To this day there is still problems, but will not use them. I recommend getting at least three companies to bid on your job before making a decision. If you do deal with the owner of Good Sounds or his son be very careful. more

Good Sounds Home Theater was recommended by my builder. I hired them to install a full audio/visual system within my home. This included not only a home theater setup, but also a security system. They offer a very personalized service, one in which they sit down with you and listen to your needs, and then construct an appropriate game plan for completing the work. The design stage and initial phase of the work went well, and they did a great job. In general they were responsive to my requests and demands. However, the final phase has taken longer than we expected. There is one piece of the job that is yet to be completed, which is the result of an issue with their supplier, so I understand. It's difficult to tell how much of the issue is their fault, and how much is out of their control, though I wish they had been a little more communicative. But all in all, they do good work, and I am mostly pleased. If I needed this type of service in the future, I would probably use Good Sounds again. Despite the job taking longer than ideal to complete, they are still a quality operation. more

I was initially impressed with GS from the start as Jim came to the house, understood what I wanted to do and said he could deliver. Once he had you hooked it went down hill. From initial contract to final installation was 3+ months (only a 3 room system). After the sales pitch they are very poor communicators during the install process. I have called on numerous occasions for some followup questions on the system and always get the "you have to talk to so and so". Well, "So and So" never calls back. I will not go back to them and will use another shop in the future. more

On a friend's recommendation, I went to Good Sounds Home Theater to install a total entertainment center for me. They walked me through the entire process. It included installing inside and outside speakers too. I thought they did a great job and had really good follow-up. I've recommended them to a friend of mine because I think they are a good resource to use. more

When I moved into a new home, I hired Good Sounds Home Theater to take care of all the electronics. This entailed an extensive system, including CD player, speakers, amplifiers, televisions, and all the wiring. The final product is satisfactory--even though there are still a few glitches--but the process has taken far longer than I anticipated. Good Sounds is a high-end company, and when I hired them they made the installation seem like a seamless procedure. It's taken six or seven months now, and they still haven't ironed everything out. They haven't done a very good job of keeping me informed of their progress, nor have they set, or kept to, solid deadlines. All of the subcontractors they referred, such as painters and drywall people, have been good, but the overall time and follow-up has been poor. I feel that they are not doing what's best for me. Good Sounds could have kept me more up to date and been more urgent with pending projects. I'm more or less happy with the product, but not the execution. more

Good Sounds installed things in my home. They did a complete home entertainment solution. The issue has been more with the equipment that was installed, and as a result they have to come out and address it more often. That's really the only issue. The people are extremely nice. I enjoy all of them. When they get here, they tend to be very good about getting it done. Sometimes though, I feel like we're on the back-burner when it comes to repairs and replacements. It's like we're the ones who have to remind them to come back and finish something. more

Good Sounds has done tons of work for me. They've done my offices, and even my house in Colorado. I used them way out there when there are over 20 guys in the area who could have done it. For them to come out from Florida and do work for me in Colorado, well, I think that says everything! I can't tell you how much work they've done for me, and everything is great. They're always around, and always available. more
