Good is Grrrreeeaaattt!!! 3/13/2006

If you like a huge selection of unknown beers and great grill food then Good is the place for you. I really like beer and I will tell you that the Marin beers are fabulous (not to mention Delirium and the IPA's). However, if you are looking for the best Buffalo Chicken Sandwich in L.A. then look no further. The sandwich here (titled Lagunitas IPA) has two breaded fried chicken cutlets the size of your head on a bun with a excellent Buffalo sauce for around $11.95. This place can not be beat..Dollar for dollar the food, beer and service is excellent. Freindly staff..The ambiance is fun and the food is more than good it is excellent. Two thumbs up for the owner or owners!! more

Bad food, bad service 2/5/2006

They do have a big beer selection, but the food is just horrible. Our steak was like rubber, and the desserts were WAY ove-priced. We were also sitting close to the kitchen and I heard and saw the manager (or owner?) scream and berate a server. It was ridiculous. The guy didn't even seem to care that patrons could hear him. It was incredibly unprofessional. I'm never going back. They should change the name to ""Gross"". more

If you love BEER, go to GOOD! 8/3/2005

I discovered this place my first day in Silverlake, and am so happy I did. I love beer in all its forms, and this place has 200 of them! The staff is knowledgable and gives incredible service. The owner is there often and always stops by the table to talk. The food is good too! I love the lunch selections, and they make a dmned good beer can chicken. Go on Tuesday for 2 for 1 dinners, or Wednesday for $2 Mystery beers! Pros: BEER, service, free parking Cons: closes early, no liquor, no bar area more

Pretty good except... 6/12/2005

Ok, we only had munchies and sat outside so I can't really comment on the food or the ambience, BUT I can comment on the woman who occassionally poured my beer wrong. I call her that because I think she was a bartender, but when she poured my Arrogant Bastard from a foot away from the glass and caused this enormous head, I had to think she is not a bartender. Waiters do that when they pour champagne...not my beer! She was definitely 'Not Worthy'! Other than that we had a good time, it was a Thursday at 6PM and the traffic and wackos walking by were entertaining. The service was good, but a little spotty..including the above beer destroyer, we had 3 other people serving us, which meant that the normal one person server clock didn't exist. Great Food, Great Atmosphere, Great Prices!!! 3/21/2005

This place is the best!!! The staff is terrific and they always remember us and give us a warm greeting when we arrive. The service is prompt and very courteous. The servers always are honest and give you good advice on which beers are good and what specials are the best. The prices for the entries are very reasonable. They have great Prime Rib, but, while I have tried a number of times on the menu, I keep ordering the Three Stooges Fried Chicken. The chicken is moist and crispy and the biscuits that come with it are out of this world. The appetizers are very good, as are the desserts. When you order coffee you get your own pot with the fresh coffee brewing in it. The atmosphere is very romantic as they keep the lights low, but bright enough to see what you are eating, of course. Creative Menu! 2/27/2005

I tried the ""Hipster"" scramble and it was so tastey! Everyone at our table was completely satisfied with the food and that NEVER happens. Next time, I'm going back for the Brazil Omlette ... its packed with fruit. Bloody Mary's were good too ... nice and spicey. The service has improved 100% since the place was the Crest. Great beers, amazing service 12/26/2004

I just visited Good last night, and here I am searching for online ways to get their name out there. Their beer menu has at least two-sentence descriptions of each of the 150+ beers, (all organized by color) and the bartender comes to your table separate from the server to make personal recommendations. Great food too!! Best wings I've had in forever, I had the fried chicken salad and boyfriend had the veggie sandwich. Highly recommended .....
