I was treated with respect from the staff at this gym. The person that signed me up went over the contract completely with me and I wasnt miss lead at all! Read what ur signing before u do and maybe u wouldnt be so surprised about situations. Everything they ask of u is right there and ur signing it. This location met my wants and needs completely. I recomend this gym for anyone thinking of joining more

Very bad gym 1/3/2010

Let me start off by saying I hardly ever do reviews, but I feel like you need to know about golds before signing their lengthy contracts. Like other reviewers say, this gym looks great when you first walk in and go on the tour, but once you sign up and start using the gym, it is horrible. I have been to all of the locations in the salt lake valley and some are better than others....van winkle and sandy locations are a little better. THE BAD: There was crap all over the floor in one of the stalls, literally sh*t all over the floor, so I told the front desk lady and she said she would tell someone to clean it up. After my hour and half workout I went to change and it still wasn't cleaned up...unacceptable. The free weights aren't ever in order so you have to search all over to find the weights you want (Van Winkle is the only location that they are in order). Lastly, above one of the drinking fountains they had a sign for a cardio class. I showed up the next day to take the class and no instructor ever came, so I went and talked to the front desk people and they didn't even know a class was scheduled. She told me to talk to the personal trainer that was in charge of classes. When I tried to ask him what was going on with the class, he told me he was too busy to talk....bad service and made me waste my time. Pros: cardio cinema(some locations) Cons: staff, cleanliness, broken equipment, dirty hot tub more

WORST GYM MANAGER IN TOWN! 10/14/2009

Took their offer to try the cardio class one time and when I politely told the membership-sign-up-hungry manager Greg that I am still undecided, he blurted that I just wanted to take advantage of them, just want to use them, and that I wasted their time! Two days prior to this, 24HR fitness very nicely gave me 14-day trials in their Jordan Landing and Sandy branches to try ALL their classes and facilities. The step classes in both branches were excellent. The instructors were awesome and took the time to say hi and invite me back. Verdict: Greg should not work with customers! He is a disgrace to Gold's Gym. Who is training the staff for this facility? more

Sad disapointment to its hyped up image 7/21/2009

I went to golds as i was told it was an amazing gym, to my surprise it turns out it was the worst gym ever. I was treated very rudely by Golds billing company Paramount, when asking about charges, also they try to bill you card for automatic payment and when it does not go thru they call you a month later so they can charge you the $40 in late charges. They are unhelpful and i was very upset how i was treated. i wish i would have listened to everyone that said dont go to golds. Pros: Nice Facility Cons: Worst customer service and untrained trainers more
