Review content:
Let me start off by saying I hardly ever do reviews, but I feel like you need to know about golds before signing their lengthy contracts. Like other reviewers say, this gym looks great when you first walk in and go on the tour, but once you sign up and start using the gym, it is horrible. I have been to all of the locations in the salt lake valley and some are better than others....van winkle and sandy locations are a little better. THE BAD: There was crap all over the floor in one of the stalls, literally sh*t all over the floor, so I told the front desk lady and she said she would tell someone to clean it up. After my hour and half workout I went to change and it still wasn't cleaned up...unacceptable. The free weights aren't ever in order so you have to search all over to find the weights you want (Van Winkle is the only location that they are in order). Lastly, above one of the drinking fountains they had a sign for a cardio class. I showed up the next day to take the class and no instructor ever came, so I went and talked to the front desk people and they didn't even know a class was scheduled. She told me to talk to the personal trainer that was in charge of classes. When I tried to ask him what was going on with the class, he told me he was too busy to talk....bad service and made me waste my time. Pros: cardio cinema(some locations) Cons: staff, cleanliness, broken equipment, dirty hot tub
