Golden State Garage Doors

Golden State Doors was great. The door seems like it's a lot more responsive and quicker to operate. The technician who came out was a great and friendly guy who oiled up the door and took the screwdriver to adjust the door so it'd go down quicker. It definitely doesn't have as hard of a start anymore. I've had no problems with it since. My own gripe is that it was just a bit expensive for the service. Otherwise, the technician showed me everything he did and the results were wonderful. I'll definitely use them again. more

Golden State Garage Doors is wonderful. The technician who came actually notified me that he could arrive earlier to do the job and it worked out just fine. He took the time to show me a few things and I asked him to call me out of the house when he was done and he did a wonderful job. He was polite, knew what he was doing, and the door runs wonderfully. I love Golden State Garage Doors's service. We recently got a new motor from them. On the previous motor, when I would have problems (I would accidentally push the lock button), I would call and they would help me over the phone so I wouldn't have to pay a service charge for someone to come out. I really appreciate that. When it came time to get the new motor, they were the only ones I called. more

Many Moons ago I hired Golden State to install a garage door at my first house. Since we were only going to use the garage for storage and new electrical was required to install an automatic opener I opted not to do so. Within the first year of having it the door broke. Since it was only used for storage it had only been opened a handful of time (we had access from the house also). When I called the company to have them come out and look at it the owner spoke rudely to me, yelled at me and then hung up on me (even the second time I called) My Husband who is also a contractor called him and even though he treated him with more respect than I, he did not come out to look at it. \r \r Bottom line, I ended up having to pay another company to repair the door which I was told was not installed properly to begin with. The part of the door which was repaired has worked fine since being fixed, but the handle which was not an issue at the time has had to be fixed a couple of times by the tenan more

I had employed Golden State twice over the years and they performed fantastically. My last experience with them was a real let down as they delivered one of the two remote door openers and installed a faulty wall control. I have called four times about the opener and always get a promise of a call back, but nothing more... Since the house was new construction I wasn't able to plug in the mechanical door opener until months after installation. That is when I learned the wall switch didn't work. I decided to order the parts online as I did not feel another call to Golden State would yield any results. They are knowledgeable, friendly and courteous however. more

Excellent service. They installed our garage door years ago...this weekend we needed a repair. We called and they came the same day and repaired it and for a very fair price! Will use them again if needed. Pros: GREAT SERVICE more

Called on a Saturday due to a problem with my garage door not able to close. They sent someone to my house within an hour. The guy fixed the problem, readjusted things and got it working again. I would definitely use their service again. more
