I went here and I’m now in eighth grade. I remember them always yelling at me and making me cry when I couldn’t sleep on the uncomfortable cots. And whenever kids would be mean to me this one lady would tell me to suck it up. Also when I couldn’t sleep they would put me in a room with the little babies. Idk it was okay ig but this one lady was mean to me and I never forgot her more

Great in every way!!! 3/10/2010

My daughter has been attending Suntree Petite Academy for over a year. All the teachers are wonderful and caring. The director is a great Christian lady who I consider a friend. My daughter enjoys her time at the academy and does different projects everyday. The academy is clean, the food is prepared neatly in the kitchen and we have enjoyed being part of this pre-school. I question the bad review on this board and would wonder if it was not the competition writing the review. more

It is beautiful 7/2/2008

I had a tour at Suntree Petite Academy for my 3 year old daughter, what I saw was impressive, THE SCHOOL IS NEWLLY RENOVATED and it look fantastic, The school now has a very charming director which is part of a new administration, They have a new playground's equipment and a very nice toddler's playground. The computer lab is awesome and the teachers were very friendly. I also checked the VPK's score online, their VPK score is one of the best of the State of Florida. I also liked the curriculum that is in place, I was noticed that Carol Dixon, The new director was a public school teacher for over 20 years, she look smilly and proffessional, The best part of Suntree Petite Academy is that the New Administration guarantee the lowest price in Melbourne. After looking for several school in the area SUNTREE PETITE ACADEMY IS THE CLEANEST. Kim Juana more

Do not consider Suntree Petite... ITS DANGEROUS! 10/14/2007

Suntree Petite is a horribly disorganized business. The owners avoid parents and their concerns at all possible costs, they have new teachers every few days, the management lies about EVERYTHING and money is the ONLY objective. I had a terrible experience there. My child was enrolled there for just over a year. During that time my child had seven different teachers. There were also six different directors. When I approached the owners about my concerns, I was told I had better "watch it". I was generally threatened by the owners. I then expressed my concerns to my child's teacher (who, by the way, was wonderful... the ONLY teacher that I liked... she mysteriously disappeared) and the teacher told me that the teachers were threatened and lied to as well. There were way too many children in rooms that were too small, and more than once I walked in to find toddlers in the same class as my preschooler. I was constantly being charged for the most ridiculous things, lied to about tuition fees and my child was always being hurt by the other badly behaved children in the center. I later was told that this center accepts children that have been expelled from other centers... so we're talking about children with severe behavior problems. If you are looking for disorganized, dangerous babysitters, this is the place. I would highly reccommend you look elsewhere for QUALITY childcare, not thieves. more

Is Money Really All That Matters 12/19/2006

I happen to have had a very similar experience with Suntree Petite Academy. First, the "school" was to have four VPK classes running at the same time. It was too bad that they were all in the same room with just an aid running the class of 30-40 children. The director at the time, who was a teacher was not able to actually teach because she was too busy running the entire daycare. My son is now in kindergarten, and had fallen short due to the lack of education that was given at this center. But enough about that. Let me tell you about the TRUE COLORS of Suntree Petite. In mid April of 2006, I had decided to remove my son from the wrap around care program at the center. Notice was given & I paid for an additional two weeks (of which I have the copies of the checks) even though my child was not going to attend. His name was removed from the Wrap Around roster - I watched Lillian Hubler do this manually as the first day of my son being in just the VPK program he was still on the incorrect sheet - so my notice WAS in fact accepted. I didn't receive a closing statement to the contrary to suggest that my belief was in error... On June 14th, 2006 I received a call from the new director of Suntree Petite , Nancy, a nasty lady who I would not want near my child, demanding to know where my son was going to school for the summer, and why did I remove him from the VPK program a week early? My first thought was NONE OF YOUR $^%&*(^ BUSINESS, but I simply said "Madam, my son is home with me for the summer and the school held a graduation ceremony after which I saw no reason to send him." She then had the nerve to tell me that I then owed Suntree Petite Academy the money that the state of Florida would not pay them for my son not being there. Basically, I needed to pay for a FREE program. She also stated that I signed a contract with the Child Care Association stating this. As outraged as I was, I called the CCA, who pretty much laughed. The only item I signed was a voucher for my son to attend VPK. So then, someone from the CCA had to call Suntree Petite to remind them that they could not charge ANYONE for a free state run program. Then they tried to come after me for the two weeks when I removed my son from wrap around care of which I explained above. So I sent them a certified letter explaining all of this. Did they respond? No. I didn't expect them to. That is what they do best. Not respond. By the way, my son is flourishing...NOW that he has the attention of an actual teacher, not a babysitter. My advice to anyone looking into Suntree Petite - think again. They only care about the money. Your child is just a dollar sign to them and their educational wellbeing is worthless. My son's test scores from the beginning of kindergarten vs right now are evidence. As is the testimony of the director during that time. I hope someone will finally investigate. more

Suntree Petite Academy ~ Melbourne FL 12/18/2006

My first visit I was given a tour by the director Lillian Hubler of the facility. I was a little turned off my the heavily stained carpet in the Pre K room but was impressed how Lillian stressed how the facility would focus on working with my daughter on phonics to learn how to read & prepare her for Kindergarten. I was also impressed with the computer station. I decided to enroll my daughter in the VPK program in Feb 06. My daughter was not taught phonics...it was a sales pitch! I never formally signed up for the summer session but after my daughter was in for I week I found out that the kids go to the high school to swim every day...well my daughter being 5 did not know how to swim so the alternative was her sitting in a toddler class while the other kids were gone. My daughter was very unhappy being left with the younger kids. I decided to enroll my daughter in a swim program with Brevard County. The daycare made an error in their accounting & months later I receive a collection letter for $244. They also stated my daughter attended weeks later while actually we were actually enrolled another program....which leads me to believe the sign in sheet was never utilized properly. I had covered tuition for each week my daughter attended including the $3 for pizza day on each Friday. I have left numerous messages for Lillian or their accountant to call me...have not received any call backs or response from email or from their contact on their website. Previously on a couple of occasions Lillian had asked me if I would be interested in Marketing their business....it's kind of ironic I'm posting this rating & dealing with this corrupt business. I actually ran into another parent in Walmart one day...who also was falsely charged & she knew of 3 other parents who received letters as well. This has been a very bad experience for us...I filed a BBB complaint & a few others & I'm still being harassed with collection letters. One thing to keep in mind with this daycare...it's a business & their focus is not on the quality of service they should be providing our children. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional organization & I would not wish this experience upon anyone. more
