Dr. Stewart is fantastic! 5/2/2011

I began going to Dr. Stewart when I found out I was pregnant with my second child. She had been recommended to me by several people. The entire experience was wonderful. Both Dr. Stewart and her nurse have a wonderful bedside manner and seem to share in the excitement of the pregnancy. A couple of times the wait was a bit long, but they apologized and more than compensated for the inconvenience by their thorough evaluation and kindness. more

Great doctors -- and fantastic care. 2/15/2011

I am sorry that someone had a bad experience -- but I had the complete opposite experience and I would encourage anyone to go to any of the doctors at this clinic. I had an extremely difficult preganancy and delivery -- over the course of my pregnancy I saw nearly every doctor in the office (including Dr. Conger). Each was caring, professional, and extremely competent. I never doubted I was in good hands. I have since had a couple of different procedures -- and again the doctors, nurses, and staff were nothing but pleasant, and easy to work with. The only problems you might have is that many of the doctors are not accepting new patients -- if you can get in, do....you will not regret it. more

Worst customer service EVER! 1/12/2011

My wife had to go to the hospital for a major emergency. We got Dr. Conger. He was a very good doctor when it comes to the actuall work but that is as far as it goes. Well, his practice is only 5 minutes from our house, Perfect! So we started the whole process of using there office for all of our needs. In order to use them you have to go through an orientaion. During that they asked my wife in two different times if we are happy with Dr. Conger and want to use him or would you like another doctor. Well we were going to use him, but we were presented with an opertunity not to use him and get somebody with a better bedside manner, perfect. So we said, yes we would like to change. So the lady brought my wife into her office and proceeded to ask her questions like what do you not like about him. So she was honest and filled her in. At the end of the meeting, the lady said, ok, we will match you with someone different. Almost a week later we get a phone call from the director stating that due to the fact that you do not like Dr. Conger, we feel that you are not allowed to use our office or any of the Women's Healthcare associates, you are blacklisted. This means we can't even use the past two doctors from her other two babies because they are in the same system. Even though they do not intermix hospitals. \r \r So after the director telling my wife this news she went off the emotional deep end with yelling at her. One day later I was able to talk to her in great length and detail on what happened. She told me my wife was begging for painkillers, I was there, nothing of the sort was said. The lady also said that if my wife said if she even sees doctor conger in the same hallway as her she will sue our office, again, I was there, this was not said. \r \r What was said on the drugs was, I am feeling fine and do not need anymore of the sleeping pills or the painpills. On the sueing aspect, My wifes mom had a horrible experience with doctor conger and almost sued him. \r \r She was fine if he had to deliver the baby, he knows his stuff, but i just want a more personable O.B. for my primary. \r \r So in short from 3 days of talking, they will ask for your opinion about your doctor and will ask if you want to change, but if you say anything bad or want to change they will black list you. \r \r I point blank asked the director if this is a common practice, and she said yes, we back up all of our doctors %100 no questions asked. \r \r So the way they fixed customer complaints is they just get rid of you. We would have been fine if we had to use another office, but it is the fact that they put a black mark on my wifes caracter. She called one of the other Women's healthcare offices with out knowing trying to find a doctor, they treated her like a piece of dirt and said, you are blacklisted from all offices, good bye.\r \r So we are setting here wondering what next, are we going to have to have this baby in our house since they are the only close office to us.\r \r They are plain criminal and should not be in business. Word of warning to anyone using them, DO NOT TELL THEM YOUR HONEST OPINION, this way they can think they are awesome and ignore any real problems with there doctors. That is a place I want to go, they don't learn from there upset customers, they just get rid of them. more

DR.Steward is super 7/20/2010

I had problems with my daughters pregnancy from the beginning and I had Dr.Steward as my midwife and wow was I surprise to see how caring she was and how much of her time she spend to get to know not the patient but the mom in me! When my daughter was born she had to be transfer to SE Portland and Dr.Steward kept up to date with everything that was going on and had me transfer right away,She called the other hospital and made all the necessery arrangements and send me on my way! and her staff that was with me during the birth was amazing too! It has being a year since this but I felt I had to let everyone know that DR.Steward is really the person you want in this part of your life! Pros: Kind,Attentive and Very Friendly more

A Great resource for women 10/15/2009

I switched to this clinic when pregnant with my first child. I always found the office to be very clean, modern, the staff to be well trained and polite. The Doctors were wonderful. They have a Doctor on call 24 hours a day for emergencies and questions and an advice nurse which is so wonderful for first time parents. They are located next to Meridian Park Hospital which ended up being a Godsend for us when I had to be rushed from my appt in the office direct to the Maternity Ward. I never waited too long on hold for appointments and I could always easily make appointments. The only downside to this practice is that you wait a long time in the waiting and exam room to see a doctor. I believe this is because they are giving quality care and do not want to rush patients out, but it does mean you will be there a long time for any appt. more

Best medical experience ever; Dr. Conger is a gem! 8/3/2008

I have been a patient of Dr. Conger's since 1989 and he has been a great educator, advocate and integral helper and guide through the entire gamit of women's healthcare issues for me. I see him annually and he has also assisted me with other issues including delivery of my children as well as help with stress incontinence, menopause and other incredibly stressful problems too personal to mention here. Despite visiting other doctor's for non-gynocological issues, Dr. Conger has also been the doctor that has taken notice of other healthcare issues for me. For example, he noticed my enlarged thyroid (tumor) when other doctors did not. He is very thorough and does not mind spending extra time with me to ensure both my physical and emotional well being. He answers any questions I have and is helpful in guiding me to information that I need to make decisions. He also personally follows up to discuss healthcare issues and options for addressing them. Not many women can say this, but I actually look forward to my annual visit with Dr. Conger because I can count on getting the information and assistance I need. I'm certainly NOT looking forward to the day he retires, but I am confident he will refer me to the right physician when he does leave. I highly recommend this clinic for women. The only downside that I can think of is that it takes quite a while to get an appointment, but the staff is great about following up woith you if an opening occurs prior to your scheduled date. more

Dr Stewart is amazing! 12/5/2007

Dr Stewart is absoluely great, she is attentive, very friendly, knowledgable, and enthusiastic. She clearly likes her job and her patients, I never feel rushed during my appointments and the staff at the clinic is excellent. I would reccommend her and this clinic to anyone expecting a baby. Pros: Staff, Dr Stewart, Wait Time Cons: Parking is a little tight. more

Bad Experience With Dr. Conger 9/22/2007

DO NOT USE DR. ALLARD CONGER IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A SENSITIVE AND PATIENT WOMAN'S DOCTOR! I have been a happy patient of the Women's Healthcare Associates for 2 years. I had an emergency question on a Saturday morning at 9 AM. The doctor on call Conger was paged and called back. He was very rude and did not try to understand my emergency needs. He seemed very irritated that I was interupting him. He belittled me and never answered my question fully. Be careful, and choose another doctor! Pros: Great clinic with exception Cons: Poor Practitioner Experience more

Excellent Doctors & Nurses, but the ill-run billing dept. will make your life PURE HELL!! 9/18/2007

The Doctors and Nurses are absolutely wonderful. They treated me throughout my pregnancy and I loved them. However, the billing dept. is PURE HELL!!! I paid all of my bills using my banks online billpay and they were all paid on time. However, they didn't know where to post them and returned them to my account then sent me a notice that I could no longer be a patient because of an unpaid $127 balance. The billing department would not even discuss it with me even though I had all of the bank statements, etc. documenting that my payment was made. They said i would have to go in front of their board and present my case. I said ""Too bad, you just lost a patient."" Three years later I am expecting my 2nd child and have found a really great doctor. She gave me paper to schedule my ultrasound. I call the NW Perinatal Clinic and am told that Women's Healthcare Assoc. has put me on the black list. So, I cannot even schedule an ultrsound from another doctor with this clinic because they are associated with Women's Healthcare. I PAID THE BILL - AND ACTUALLY PAID IT TWICE. I DO NOT RECCOMEND WOMEN'S HEATHCARE ASSOC. BECAUSE THE DOCTOR AND BIRTHING EXPERIENCE, WHILE GOOD, AREN'T WORTH THE 3 YEARS OF AGGRAVATION. And I am not the only one I have been told that there are lots of women who have had the same problem with them. One lady who has the same doctor as I have now said she had the exact same issue over $61, which she had paid. Pros: Excellent Doctors & Nurses Cons: Billing Dept. is Completely disorganized, unfriendly & and looses payments more

Dr. Vick is great 6/21/2007

I too am a patient of Dr. Vick and have been very happy with him as my OB/GYN. He has been helpful, responsive, informative and caring. He is retiring from the OB side of things, which is very sad for our growing family. \r \r We have also been quite pleased with the clinic in general. It is easy to park, the waiting room is spacious and all the staff have been quite helpful and friendly. more

Worst bedside manner ever! 9/23/2006

Unfortunately Dr. Vick was the physician on call for this clinic when I could not reach my own physician for an emergency antibiotic prescription (non narcotic). I was addressed in a very cold, judgemental manner. He said that in all his years of practice he has never been asked to fill a prescription under these conditions. I understand perfectly the laws about prescribing medications without seeing the doctor, however he was extremely rude to me and only began to speak civilly when I informed him I was married to a physician. Then he asked me why I didn't have my husband write the prescription for me. I then informed him that to do that was against the law. Would not recommend this physician ever. more

Love this doctor 6/30/2005

DR Vick is the best dr I have ever been to, very compassionate, caring and through - he was recommended by a friend and very competent - the type of person you wish you were related to. Pros: big wating room, parking is very easy more
