I agree with Arocho's review. I first ordered flowers from Gingerbread last year. Both times, I got flowers for my wife. They were very beautiful and lasted a very long time. I was very happy with them. Turn the page to this year and it has been the complete opposite. I don't know if the owner has changed vendors or what but the quality of the flowers has gone down big time even thought the prices are still high. I didn't mind paying more originally since the flowers were so nice but this year I could have gotten similar or better quality for a lower price at the Harris Teeter in the same parking lot.\r To be fair, my wife did complain when her Valentine's Day roses started wilting 2 days after getting them. The owner was very defensive and was questioning everything that we did with the flowers as it must have been our fault. My wife has always done the same process with fresh flowers, i.e. cutting the stems under water, etc. and has never had flowers die that soon. Regardless, the owner did finally agree to replace the flowers so I decided to give then another chance for my wife's b-day. I got my wife her favorite flowers which we also grow in our own yard but surely the ones from the flower shop must be better, right? Wrong. The ones that we have cut and watered properly from our own yard opened and lasted longer than the ones from Gingerbread. It has been a week now and 3 of the 5 flowers still have not opened and appear to be drying up.\r So, rather than complaining to the store again and getting the attitude from the owner, I will just stop shopping there and warn my Stonehenge neighbors. By the way, another thing that rubbed me the wrong way was when I called to order the flowers. The owner answered as I recognized her voice. When I told her I wanted to order the flowers, she started telling me how she had just turned down an order from one of her vendors and there was no way she could get the flowers for me that day. If she had let me talk, she would have found out that I was calling to order flowers for 2 weeks later, not that day. Instead, it was like it was my fault for not knowing she had just passed on a speciality order from her vendor. Overall, she really needs to work on her customer service skills and listen, listen, listen before talking. There are too many places to get flowers around here to have to settle for poor customer service and now, lower quality flowers.\r By the way, I have never written a review on anyone on any website so that should tell you how disappointed I was with Gingerbread. I hate to knock a small business owner as I am one also but this has to be done. I didn't want to write a review at first since all the others make Gingerbread sound like the best florist ever. Doesn't make sense to me. more

I travel extensively and while in Tampa on Valentines Day, I desperately WANTED to get flowers to my wife .. I had meetings scheduled all morning and afternoon so I quickly visited your web-site. At 9:00AM Your banner stated, there is still time to place your order for delivery! Since your business was not that far from my wife’s office, I placed an order and felt secure in the fact that I have no worries. I noticed a telephone call came into my voice mail at noon… I called back and it was gingerbread who coldly advised me that my order will not be delivered until the next day or I can cancel ! “ WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO..” No apologies, no sense of empathy… NO SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY AT ALL, TOO BAD BUDDY!! They could have offered to called the recipient!! Maybe my wife could have picked up on the way home.. The tone of the voice informing me that my order will not be delivered was rude! When I asked her name she informed me that she was just a temp. I had to call my wife and tell her that the flowers I ordered will not be delivered. THANKS FOR THE GREAT IMPRESSION… NEXT DAY: My wife received the flowers.. They Cost with LOCAL delivery $117.00.. WE FELT RIPPED OFF AFTER I TOLD HER THE COST.. STOOD ONLY 9 INCHES FROM BOTTOM OF VASE TO THE TOP OF TALLEST FLOWER!! TOTAL WIDTH OF ARRANGMENT WAS APPROX 7 INCHES.. ALL OF THE GREAT REVIEWS ARE PROBABLY SELF WRITTEN.. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! more

I was referred to Gingerbread House by a neighbor. I decided to try them out for a corsage for my sons upcoming high school Winterfest. This was my sons (and I's) first time ordering a corsage, so we didn't know what we needed or what to expect! Thankfully, they do! They walked us through the process and made some very helpful suggestions. They even talked us out of a color that would have clashed with his dates dress! (Thank Goodness!). The flowers were gorgeous - but the service was top notch! more

I ordered a gorgeous rose corsage for my daughter's prom from \r Gingerbread Florist. It was on time and really put an extra touch to her dress. I took time to look at their Easter arrangements and they have the cutest arrangements in little white baskets. This store has quality and you can tell it is family owned. Keep up the good work guys. more

The thing I appreciate the most about this company is their customer assistance. Being a guy it isn't the easiest thing to pick out a flower arrangement. They helped me find the perfect one for my girlfriend (who loved it). The arrangement was delicate, fresh, full and beautiful. Pros: VERY helpful more

I have known the owners since GH opened. This is a family run business and they deserve our support in the community. When Laura's children were in school she often sent bouquets of flowers to school to thank us for teaching her children. I thank Laura today for having a wonderful business in North Raleigh that I hope people will continue to support. more

I called the store directly from Florida and the salesperson was very helpful. When it came to choosing a holder for the plant I ordered, there were three choices. Since the gift was for a very special birthday, I wanted it to be perfect. The salesperson took the time to describe each holder and said that she thought one stood out from the rest. So I trusted her judgement and chose that one. The bottom line is the my friend who received the plant just raved about it, especially the holder! She said that I couldn't have picked a more perfect gift. I would definitely recommend the Gingerbread House Florist for its products and its outstanding customer service! more

I am a very busy woman and always appreciate stores that cater to online shoppers! This shop has extremely easy online ordering, and you can always be assured they will take great care of your order. I am constantly sending floral arrangements to my clients and they are always raving about the beautiful flowers and how long they last! What impressed me was that the flowers were still beautiful at brunch that Sunday! I'm still her favorite daughter-in-law! I ordered flowers this morning for a neighbor and they were delivered before 3:00 today. I asked for advise on what to send to a woman who is sick and the arrangement that was sent was a outstanding. The driver even brought into the house for her. Wonderful advise! Wonderful service! more

I stopped in Gingerbread after eating at Bruegger's next door and decided to surprise my wife with some roses. The women at Gingerbread helped me decide how many (6 instead of the 12 I thought I needed) and what color. I had them deliver it to my wife's work the next day and boy what a good call. I could hear her fellow sales ladies oohing and aahhing in the background. She was so happy and the flowers lasted so long, I could do no wrong for more than a week. more

I am so glad my husband discovered this precious florist shop. They have a designer in the store every day that will custom design each order. You can tell that they take the time to make sure each flower is perfectly arranged. Each time I get a delivery from Gingerbread I am amazed at how beautiful they are and how long they last.
