Let me start by saying I am neither a relative of the owners nor have I ever worked at this restaurant. This is fresh Cal-Asian fare at its best with a very reasonable price tag given the quality of the food. They offer a variety of interestingly prepared fish dishes and plenty of crunchy veggies, so that you feel what you are eating is not only tasty but healthy. Not a fish fan, they've got great beef and chicken dishes too. The owners are very friendly and accommodating and have always been welcoming to us even when we bring our young child (don't come early if you don't want to eat with children). Decor and service is upscale as well. Everyone we have brought to this restaurant loves the food. The one criticism that came back to me was that it is a bit noisy. We have been going to Gina Lee's when it first opened their doors and we absolutely love that place, although it can get noisy at times. Scott and his wife, Gina are charming hosts. They have a great revolving food menu and good wine selections with reasonable prices. I'm always amazed how their food fusion so well together. On occasions we bring own wine and Scott ever the gracious host, will have a glass with us. Compare this fusion place with the likes of Chinois on the Main, it's a no-brainer. Don't let the strip mall locale fool you. Scott and Gina run a class joint that is the NEW top gun in the South Bay. You want stuffy, go to Chez Melange. You want creative, focused, Cal-fusion cuisine, this is the place for you...and all your friends. Dumplings in a spicy coconut milk broth is a must for the appetizer, and where else in town can you get such devine Bento Boxes as Scott offers up here on a nightly basis. A very nice wine list for the space they have for storage, but bring your own gem from the cellar if you want something with bottle age. One thing you can't forget to do: MAKE A RESERVATION.
