Tired and Run Down 8/5/2011

Guys. You have such a great spot and Kirkland so needs a dinner type coffee shop restaurant. But really. The food is so so. Pancakes weak, omeletes are 1/2 american 1/2 greek, eggs runny, sandwiches weak weak weak and dinner well only if Dennys is closed. Make your mind up. Are you an american coffee shop or a greek dinner. And coffee shop decor is fine when you don't stick to the carpet and have broken down seats and smelly corners. Come on. more

Food and service 12/29/2009

Food was good when we got it. Hot and very tasty. Portion size comparably to cost of food. The restaurant was very clean. Our service on the other hand was very slow. It took the waitress over 15 mins to take our order even though we showed signs of being ready after 5 mins and the restaurant was not even busy. Waitress was slow to refill drinks. When it was time to pay, the Waitress was slow to bring our check and to return our receipt for signing. If you want good Greek food, this is a place to go, but expect your order to take longer then it should. Pros: Good food for the money Cons: Service was very poor. more

Discovered Bit Of Greece in Kirkland 2/2/2009

Went to George's in Kirkland for the first time Saturday night, and went back again on Sunday! Great food - Musaka to die for - and the tzatziki was the best I've had since a trip to Greece last year. We had great service, and the bar tenders were a hoot. Sunday Breakfast was super too and we found the staff very attentive. We were with a large group that expanded as the morning progressed and they were great about adding chairs, and then were able to break out everyone's bill with no problem. I'll be back - and since I live in Ballard that says a lot!"" more

Great Ambiance 7/3/2008

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. The service is impeccable, always cheerful. It does get busy on the weekends, but what good restaurant doesn't. \r \r Food is great. I haven't had one bad thing on the menu. It is nice after work to relax and have a beer and watch the game there too. It is a wonderful place to take your family or meet your friends for a drink. Pros: service more

First choice for us! 7/3/2008

I've gone to George's for over 5 years. I recently got married and introduced my husband and his 2 daughters to George's and we go to breakfast after church on Sundays - our new tradition for our new family. A couple weeks ago, we gave the girls a choice as to what to do, go to see Kung Fu Panda or, go to George's for breakfast. They CHOSE GEORGE'S!!! My husband and I love that they are open late for dinner or after dinner drinks for the nights we are without the girls!\r Pros: Food - lots of options, friendly staff, the remodel makes the place even more inviting. Cons: Can be confusing on weekends in getting on the list for a seat. But worth the wait! more

Hangover cure and Best to grab a drink 5/1/2008

I have been to George's many times and after all my great experiences I feel compelled to write a great review. I like to go there on the weekends for breakfast its always packed but you usually don't have to wait too long. They don't have a hostess so write your name down on the clipboard when you get there and they will seat you asap. Get the eggs benedict when its on special!! Now George's has expanded and its great to go for dinner or chill with a drink or two. Their staff makes you feel very special. See you there!!! Pros: fast service, sweet staff, breakfast Cons: Busy busy on the weekends (but worth IT) more

Best of the best when it comes to breakfast! 5/1/2008

Pete and Derek have made this place from a great brunch type restaurant to a great breakfast, lunch, and dinner place. Bonnie and I ate there the other night, I had the Ribeye steak(awesome) Bon had salad that she couldn't talk because it was so good. They remodeled the place and with the new ambience I really think this is a winner for all ages! I have lived on the eastside my whole life and the touch of Greek they put into there food is amazing. Highly recommend the eggs benedict for breakfast and either a grinder or steak for dinner. Giant plasma TV doesn't hurt any either....Oh and by the way very reasonably priced with outstanding service. Good job Pete and Derek...Chris and Bon! Pros: Great food with a touch of greek elegance. Cons: The only con would be if you don't order a grinder! more

Order the Godfather. You wont be disappointed. 7/13/2006

I have never had such full belly food satisfaction than after I eat at Georges place.\r They have the tastiest tsanzuki, the freshest fries and the greatest grinders.\r Your body will thank you. \r On top of the food being great, did I mention that the wait staff is about as friendly as they come? Yeah. Its true. Georges Place puts Kirkland on the Map. \r Say hello to Petrac and tell him you want the ""Super Nation"".\r \r \r \r Pros: Food is awesome. Cons: My belly isnt big enough to fit the whole menu in it in one seating. more

the only place I eat breakfast 7/11/2006

my big fat greek cafe 11/7/2002

One of Kirklands best kept secrets, George & Pete do a great job. A great value with comfort foods, not heavy on the greek foods, but heavy on the greek atmosphere. more

Great Breakfasts 8/5/2002

George's Place in downtown Kirkland provides great ""no nonsense"" breakfasts. Everything is well prepared, and the price is just right. Come early on weekends to avoid the crowds. Pros: Good value, Good food Cons: No espresso drinks more

Classic diner with a splash of Greek 6/7/2002

George has a big menu divided up into diner staples like meatloaf and burgers, and greek dishes. As a diner it's above average but the Greek food is a bit lacking. The price is right either way. more
