This is a tear jerker and I have to say I am forever indebted to dr. brunstein. I was at a popular dog park in Santa Monica with my dog Sadie a cut happy Dachsund. We were playing, hanging out and she gets plowed into by a Shepard mix. My dog reacted with a snip and proceeded to get shredded by this dog, whose owner stood by, but unbelievably did not pull his dog off. I jumped in, got bit in the process and that f**ker grabbed his dog and fled. My dog's eye is ripped out and her face badly lacerated. I took her to my usual vet, but they were closed. I then did a quick google and my phone and wound up here. They were closed, but still inside, and brought me in. Two hours later my dog was put back together. We'll see how she recovers but looks good so far. I cannot say enough how grateful I am to the doctors and staff at pet medical center. They let me watch them work in the back - I was the only one there. They were so caring and concerned was just blown away. Client for life. more

These people are incredible pet lovers. I demand a clean area, no stinky vet office and they deliver. I want to comfortable while I wait (I didn't need to), and I definitely was. Easy parking. Happy staff, and, did I mention knowledge??? Oh yeah, they know their stuff. I got my dog's teeth scaled and they did a fabulous job - no anestesia - a bargain price to boot. more

OK. I've been a pet owner for over 30 years and have ""tested"" all the vets in Santa Monica and Pet Medical takes the cake on being the best. I have found them to be thorough, professional, a huge reservoir of knowledge, and have guided me through great petcare decisions over the last 5 years. They just remodeled their facility and it is gorgeous! For people who just want cheap, go to the shelter. If you want great care for your pet and people who know what they are doing, please do yourself a favor and use them. p.s. I read some reviews and for people who want their back side kissed at the drop of the hat, don't come there. They are busy and tend to prioritize who they help based on medical needs first. Doctors take the time to call back and do their own follow-up. A huge plus. more

I've been taking my pets to PMC for about 20 years. They have a wonderful group of doctors there, especially Dr. Yuan. However, whenever you call, you are put on hold and then greeted by an impatient hurried person. In the office, you usually have to wait an astronomical amount, even if you show up for your appointment on time. I keep going here because the doctors are top notch and they really cared about saving my dog's life when he was very sick. I wish they would improve on customer service though. I don't like this place that calls themselves the ""Nordstrom"" of Pet Care- I'm looking for Vets that care about the animals NOT the MONEY ! They are inconsistent with the fees they charge-they are unwilling to work with clients and fees- They seem to be money grabbers-and jack up the prices of meds and return visits- This place just wants $$$$$$ We all want the best for our pets and these people know it ! When I first got my puppy over a year ago, he came with a bad case of itchy mites. I visited 4 different Vets before finding and falling in love with this place. Our Vet is Dr. Hernandez, SHE's WONDERFUL!!! after all my pup went through, he still actually enjoys Vet visits. Thanks to her he's the strong healthy dog he is today. This place is friendly and very professional, They don't try to sell you things you don't need. Dr Hernandez as well as the other vets here have done their homework, and are not in favor of over vaccinating. \r Okay, no, they are not cheap, BUT they are NOT overpriced. You are paying for quality pet care. That being said, I did take my dog to the vca in west la for neutering ($200) cheaper. However for things that require more attention, I'd never go anywhere else. The prices are outragous. I called to get an estimate for my dog's teeth cleaning and they refused to give me an estimate over the phone. This is the closest clinic to my house so I had to go in, pay $60 for a 3 minute exam where the doctor didn't tell me much. And it annoys me that the exam price is not applied to the procedure. My dog's teeth need to be cleaned every 6 months and they quoted me $600 for it. I moved from Orange County where the price for teeth cleaning doesn't exceed $250, which leads me to believe that they rip people off. Also, the staff was really unhelpful and seemed to be unhappy working there. The vibe in that place was bad. While there, there was a lady that was complaining about her bill as well, saying that it's a different price everytime she comes in there for the same procedures. I wouldn't go there again, I would rather drive 50 miles to go back to Orange County to get it done there. Pros: The only animal clinic besides VCA in the area around Santa Monica Cons: Prices are beyond inflated, staff is not nice more

Dr. Yuan was very patient and caring with my pet and took the time to really examine him. My wait was short and the staff was very friendly. I would recommend this vet to others. Pros: Short Wait, Caring Doctors, Friendly Staff more
