Before Gentlestar, I don't think there was ever a time I wasn't conscious of my skin, even when there were good days. From teenage hormones to stress to makeup, my skin had it's fair share of ups and downs. I never left home without makeup. I spent a lot of money on dermatologists, beauty spas that provided temporary results. Finally, after an allergic breakout to a powder, I found Gentlestar. I was skeptical at first, but Craig was so thorough and patient in regards to the best solution for my skin that I decided to take the plunge and try Obagi. A combination of Obagi and Vitalize Peel revealed beautiful, soft skin. Mind you, the first month, even the second, was painful using Obagi. In the third and fourth month, I was thrilled at the texture of my skin. Very minimal outbreakouts, which healed incredibly fast, and the surface of the skin was refined and delicate with a nice sheen. Presently, I hardly wear foundation, just blush, eyeshadow, and lipgloss. No longer conscious of the way I look, I am more confident at whatever I do. The self-conscious, insecure person is gone. It feels very liberating. Not only that, I finally found a beauty professional who truly cared for his patient. I'm so glad to be under the care of Craig. Gentlestar is a gem with high-quality, caring customer service. Recently, my mother and I went in for the vitalize peel together. She was very satisfied with the result, as am I. For many months before I discovered Gentlestar Medspa, I was breaking out like never before. I'm in my late 20's. A combination of work, relationship, family stress, late nights, and coffee binges were probably the cause for that. Despite trying to relax and sleep early, the breakouts didnt stop. I tried many different solutions recommended by friends to try to improve the situation, but it never worked. If anything, it made my face look worse. Soon I didnt even want to acknowledge what was happening to my face. I didnt want to see people because I didnt want to answer questions or hear people's suggestions anymore. Dr. Ellis is very very knid and understanding to clients. He is always open and listen to what clients need. Nikko is also a perfect person for this place. If I could give one or more extra stars, Gentle Star would have the most stars from me and I beleive that all clients ould do so. Be it Nikko their beauty school fashionista, who always leaves you wondering which fabulous outfit you will see him in next or the amazing seasonal decor designs Dr. Tom dreams up throughout the year. Not to mention the talent he has in erasing those wrinkles in the blink of an eye with minimal discomfort and fabulous results. Let's not forget Dr. Craig Shisiedo, the ever so gentle micro dermabrasion Master. Craig will leave you feeling and looking like a new woman! I just had the ""Deep Pore Facial"" by Craig, his signature facial, and it was outstanding! I've been getting facials monthly for 20 years and this was the most thorough treatment ever. The best part was that once my facial was finished I didn't look like I was stung by bees. I was shocked because there wasn't one spot on my face that wasn't probed- how does Craig do this? The pampering didn't stop there. Craig applied some make-up so that I could go right to dinner looking great. I had started laser hair removal a few months ago at my dermatologist's office. Not only was I not getting the results I wanted, but his pricing structure for it was nickel and diming me to death. With Dr. ____ you paid by the treatment, and the pricing was complicated and archaic. Ok, I'll admit it. I'm age-aware. I have to be. Unfortunately, in my acting career, I'm constantly scrutinized about my appearance, and well, you know, no one who is in their 30s wants to start playing the ""Mom"" roles, yet. I figure, there's no harm in wanting to look like I'm still in my 20s, now is there? Dr . Tom and Craig are the best ever, I have been there 3 times now and each and every time I'm EXTREMELY happy with their fantastic service. Dr. Tom got rid of my broken veins on my cheeks and nose with just one visit. Craig does the best deep pore extractions and facials. Cannot say enough about them. I?ve tried every product in the grocery store, proactiv and been to 2 different dermatologists and never seen results like these. I went in frustrated because of what another derm. Gave me. My face hurt and was peeling. I sat down with Craig and he really listened! the products he gave me don?t dry my skin to the point of peeling and hurting and my skin never feels greasy and oily either! He wanted me to stop in to make sure I was doing well after a couple weeks. He makes me feel like he actually cares. And did I mention these visits were all FREE!! The only I pay for are products and those aren?t even expensive(especially compared to the derm). I cant wait to get a facial! I recommend him to everyone! more

I highly recommend Gentle Star MedSpa. All of the staff that I interacted with (Niko and Craig) are very professional and friendly. The consultation and education on skin care products that I received from Craig was excellent. He?s very knowledgeable and knows what he?s doing. Last night, I had my first deep pore cleaning by Craig who is extremely detailed and thorough did a tremendous job cleaning every pore on my face. The friendly and personalized skin care services at Gentle Star are unmatched anywhere else. Firstly, I had initial consultations, education and great recommendations on skin care products which improved my bad complexion tremendously. Subsequent treatments, including injectables under the expert hands of Dr. Tom Ellis, have reversed the signs of aging and sundamage so remarkably, it truly is amazing what the skin care experts at Gentle Star can do. I was initially concerned about pain and discomfort, but my fears were completely unfounded - the treatments were pain free and in a completely tranquil environment, replete with pillows, comforters and soothing music. This review has been a long time coming, but I think the best part of gentle star is the great customer service and both Dr. Ellis and Craig are ready to forgo the timer and concentrate on you as a whole person. Craig, the aesthetician, is like a skin guru who guides me through great skin and who I feel I have bonded with on a more personal level as well (and has shown me the merits of astrology). Before Gentle Star facials were a bit like going to the dentist, and I still have residual fear from past experiences, but they have all made it such a funky, homey, and comfortable environment that the whole clinical aspect has been eliminated. They are honest, open, thorough, result-oriented, and aren't just out to sell you unnecessary products and services, therefore I highly recommend them. more
