Gentle Dental Associates

I did not see a dentist for years because of an experience I had as a teenager. I made it a mission to go now that both my parents are having mouth troubles. I walked in being happy with the cleanliness of the place. The x rays were very uncomfortable but the x ray tech was really funny and kept me laughing with a ridiculous story during the entire time and before I knew it the x rays were done. I especially loved how thorough my cleaning was and how the doctor explained things to me in a manner in which I can understand. I no longer have a fear of the dentist. more

Gentle Dental's office is clean and modern. The staff is very courteous and professional. Visits are always prompt; during my three visits, I hardly had to wait more than 5 minutes. Everything is digital (x-rays, past history, other imaging), the work was mostly painless and not at all uncomfortable (Had three fillings done and two crown replacements to correct past work). Dr. Kravets explained everything that she was doing and took her time to discuss what the state of my teeth and what my options were, I never felt rushed. I had absolutely zero problems with insurance information or scheduling appointments. I really can't recommend this office enough. more

Everyone at the office, from the receptionists to Dr.Kravets to the hygienist is very nice and they'll do an excellent job on your teeth. Dr.Kravets is so gentle and so professional in her work. I highly recommend this office to anyone who need work done on their mouth. more

Dr Kravets was my dentist in Forest Hills Queens for several years. I lost touch with her for a year when she moved. I was persistent in locating her and was so glad to find her practice in Brooklyn. Even though I live in Queens and it is more of an inconvience for me to travel to Brooklyn, her dentistry is worth it. Dr. Kravets has been my dentist for the past, lets say, 8 years now. She is a great dentist! Gentle Dental is true to its title...always a pleasurable with minimal pain, well as pleasurable a dentist appointment could be. Dr.s' Kravets and Goldman have the latest equipment, cuttting edge technology and the right combination of training and care the hygenist lala as well as the rest of the staff are simply the best. I have noticed below the reviews of several people who went to the WRONG Gentle Dental on Francis Lewis Blvd and posted reviews on Dr. Kravets’ site. I have been a patient of GENTLE DENTAL ASSOCIATES in Park Slope, Brooklyn and I know that Dr. Kravets has no connection with the practice in Bayside or Flushing. These people went to the completely different practice and have never seen Dr. Kravets, but did not bother to check where they posted their reviews.\r \r Furthermore, Dr. Kravets is very competent with a great and friendly staff! I have never been disappointed and I am very happy with my treatment there.\r more

I took my 5 year old daughter for an annual exam, just the basics. The dental assistant was rather nice, my daughter thought she was strange though..hehe. The dentist on call (a woman, can not recall her name) was too busy with other patients to spend more than a minute examining my daughters x-rays and asked ME whether or not a spot on her tooth was ""normal""!! She didn't even give me enough time to voice any of my concerns before she ran off to another patient. Poor scheduling in my opinion, in addition to the fact that this Dr. was clearly NOT a pediatric dentist. Why see children if you have no Pediatric dentist on call??? Tried it since it was local but we will be returning to our not-so-local Pediatric Dentist that gives us GREAT service. Pros: Nice X-ray Tech Cons: Everything else. more

The dentist's at Gentle Dental were disrespectful and impatient. I've never been spoken to with so much disrespect, much less from a health care provider. I was humiliated and left angry and crying. Absolutely the worst dental experience ever. more

I have been going to Gentle Dental since they first opened their office in Queens. I even went to Dr. Kravets when she worked at another office on SheepsheadBay Road. She is by far the best dentist I have ever gone to. She is very speedy and straight to the point. I refered a friend to Dr. Kravets. My friend was equally pleased and said she was the best dentist he has ever gone too and thats a lot aftet having to wear years of braces and all kinda of dental issues. I cannot speak about insurance issues I always check before I go to a doctor to make and do not take the word of the recieptionist. \r \r Regarding the prior post. It sounds like Gentle Dental diagnosised a serious issue quickly, I am not sure why you are complaining that they started work immediately. You had a pain and they began to heal it. It sounds like all you got from the other place was a teeth cleaning and you did not take care of the larger issue. So good luck when all your teeth fall out. \r \r Money wise, medicine is expensive in this country. If you want free health get off your butt and change the system dont blame the doctors that have to spend tens of thousands of dollars just to practice medicine. \r Pros: Awesome doctor, friendly and fast more

I went to the Gentle Dental office in Bayside at 35-30 Francis Lewis Blvd Flushing NY 11358 and experienced the same tactics outlined by the prior poster. I was diagnosed with periodontal disease when I went in for a simple pain in my mouth. They also started a root canal the same day. They said they were in network for my insurance and were not. Subsequently, they demanded a 50 copay and 250 dollars for the day's visit. After that, they said there would be 4 follow up visits at $200, $200, $200 and $400. \r I believe they are truly all about selling services that are not needed just to make money( to re-inforce that statement I went to a "" reputable dentist"" after doing research and they were apalled at waht Gentle dental was trying to do to me. Cons: they are all about selling services that you may not even need more

I felt like this dentist spent more time trying to sell me on unnecesary, invasive and expensive treatments than on examining my teeth. Also, the office confirmed my insurance coverage over the phone and then denied it when I arrived for my appointment. I will not be returning to Gentle Dental.
