Wow - I wish I had read these other reviews. These people are completely inept at providing formal wear. If I wanted my credit card info stolen, I could have just given it to my wife. But no - these people write it down and charge it until it is maxed out. But let's talk about awful tuxes - they have tons of them. Do you want glued hems, torn shirts, and mismatched colors? Then go here. They are horrible people and should not be in business. The way things are going, they likely won't be for much longer. Pros: At sucking gonads. Cons: Retarded. more

The owner of this tux place was on The Peoples Court because he was suing the owner of the bridal shop (that he shares a parking lot with) for slander. He tried to say the bridal shop was ruining his business, but he lost the case when the bridal shop owner presented THESE reviews (from city search). Those of you that are suing him may be able to use these reviews in your cases, too. Good luck! more

DON"T USE THIS TUX PLACE! Nobody should use GLUE on a hem.. Its supposed to be done with a blind stich machine so the hems can be adjusted. Go to a tux place with a good standing reputation in the community. ALWAYS go to a Tux place that can sew ,press ,and adjust hems... You should NOT have to ask a tux place if they do that. This place ruins peoples weddings and special occasions. Pros: NOTHING Cons: EVERYTHING more

My good friend, his, family, and his entire wedding party had what could only be called the worst wedding experience possible, and it was courtesy entirely of Gennaro's tuxedos and their unprofessional, uncourteous, and incompetent staff. One's wedding is supposed to be a special event for which many parts come together to create an unforgettable sum. Unfortunately, Gennaro's Tuxedos failed to contribute in any part. In fact, the contrary to that could not be more true. The tuxedos were tried on a couple of days prior to the wedding by a few members of the bridal party (myself being a bridal party member from out of town, I was unable to try on the tuxedo). The tuxedos were discolored, their hems were glued, and many stray threads were apparent. Clearly, these tuxedos were inappropriate for what is to be the best day of one's life (by the way, email me at notuxedoforyou@yahoo . com if you would like to see photos of these tuxedos). Gennaro's staff gave excuses such as: "I can't sew, so that is why the hems are glued." Interesting. In any case, despite the fact that the contract was quickly cancelled, many people - myself included - were charged several hundred dollars on our credit cards. I received a $140 charge for the rental (Which I disputed), and am currently disputing a $250 charge for not returning the tuxedo - a tuxedo that I never picked up in the first place. Notwithstanding, there is a current investigation into Gennaro's and their practices. Given the number of formal wear providers on Long Island, as well as the other extraordinary businesses in close proximity to Gennaro's (although I probably can't mention them, like Roger's Tuxedos), you really should not have to endure such suffering from Gennaro's Tuxedos. Giving Gennaro's Tuxedos even one star is an insult to my charitable being. I give them negative 250 stars, one for each dollar they currently owe me. In fact, let me give them negative 1500 stars, as that is what they currently owe the groom. Pros: Pros? At what? Theft? Cons: Cons? You bet they are! more

Under no circumstances should anyone ever go here. A friend of mine rented his tuxes from Gennaro Tuxedos for his wedding. The hems were glued and wrinkled with the glue residue all over the sleeves and the pants. When my friend refused to take them, the women working there did nothing but yell and scream. They would not listen to a word we said. After refusing to take the tuxes, we all went to another tuxedo place. They informed us that we were not the only party they bailed out from Gennaro. Since then, Gennaro charged several credit cards not only for the rental of the tuxes, but for not returning the tuxes (WHICH NO ONE TOOK). They will not discuss any of these charges. In fact, during one phone call conversation, when asked why these charges were made, they responded with obscene profanities. We are now taking them to court. I strongly advise you to NOT go here!!! more

Gennaro's company lies! My wife and I will need to bring them to court. Renting tuxedos should be easy. We found this rental nothing but trouble. The suits were not in when promised. They were not forthcoming with correct information, and when questioned, there was always a poor excuse or them stating they advised, when they did not. They were not tailored to size and the quality of the suits was poor. Loose buttons, ripped shirts and holes in slacks. Before the wedding ceremony, the hem on my husband's (the best man) pants fell. I don't believe they were even sewn at all. All the kids who were sized were incorrect and one of them had the wrong shirt and no tie so he did not match the rest of the bridal party. Upon attempting to return the suits as directed by the store, the store was closed even though posted store hours were stating they should've been open. Extremely inconvenient. I found this store to be most unprofessional and incompetant. I barely give it one star. more
