YOU CAN BELIEVE WHAT YOU READ !! TERRIBLE SALES STAFF !! 6/15/2011

After test driving a 2011 Equinox, I was uncertain about the purchase. Later that evening, the Salesman called me @ home saying he ""forgot"" to offer me a $1500 rebate (even though I asked if there were any incentives on the car). I decided to buy & went in the following day to sign the papers with the intention of using my 2.99% credit union financing. AT THE SIGNING, I was told that I HAD to use ALLY (former GMAC) financing in order to get the rebate. I declined the sale. Then I was told I could finance thru ALLY for 6 mos, then refinance with my credit union --still being ahead of the game moneywise. The salesman supposedly called ALLY to confirm the 6 mo wait. I agreed. Well, it's been 6 mos & I just refinanced -- just to learn from TWO diferent ALLY reps that I could have refinanced after the FIRST payment. No need to wait 6 mos. I called the dealership & asked for a sales manager to discuss the issue. He was busy. He would call me right back. Three hours later -- and the dealership is closed -- and no return call. TERRIBLE ETHICS & EVEN WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE SALES DEPARTMENT. more

i took my car here because i was having problems. it was dying on me randomly and would restart after a couple of hours and it would shake on the freeway. the first time i took it in, they told me that they couldnt figure out why it was doing both of the problems i had and that it would have to break more for them to figure it out. i asked the service guy to check the back u-joint and he told me that it was still in good shape. than i asked him to check the fuel pump because it has gone out on me before and this was my second one. it was dying the same as the first time, but he said that it was good as well. so i picked up my car for it to just die on me in a few days. when it died on me i had it tolled to the dealership and they called me after a day to tell me that they found the problem with it dying...it was the ignition module and that it would 450 to fix it. so i let them fix it and picked up my car. i took it home only to have it die on me on the freeway two days later. im angry at this point because they told me the reason why it was dying was because of the ignition coil. i take the car back and talk to them about it and the service manager glances at their report on my car and gives me this whole thing about oh well my car needs a catalytic converter and that it was the reason why its still dying on me. i told him that his workers told me it was the ignition module and never told me that i would also need a new catalytic converter. he gives me an attitude about it which i think is very unprofessional seeing how i am a paying customer who had to tolled my car back twice because of them. he than tells me to let him do HIS job and so i asked him what if it doesnt fix my problem? the service managers tells me im getting ahead of myself, and so my sister said to go ahead and fix it. i go home only to have them call me in to morning saying that the manager doesnt feel comfortable only fixing the catalytic converter he now wants to fix the fuel pump as well. at this point i dont even want them touching my car anymore because they very first time i took my car in i asked them to check my fuel pump and they told me it was in good shape, and now hes telling me i need more repairs. i let him do his job and he failed at it. i call the the service guy that was helping me and he yells at me and gives me an attitude so i ask to speak with the manager again. The manager than says he wants to work a deal with me because he understands that its very unprofessional of them to do this...he than offers to take off 100 for all my repairs that i have to do. we argues about it because i only fixed my car to begin with because HIS technician said that the reason for my cars dying problem was the ignition module. he eventually gives me back my money and tells me he never wants to see my car again. these people are so unprofessional and rude, they have no manners and treat their customers with no respect. they also dont admit that they are wrong and gives you an attitude even though its clearly their fault. i would not advise anyone to go here. they tried to take advantage of me, i dont know if its because im a girl and they think im stupid. more

Don't believe everything you read 7/14/2010

I have leased and purchased several vehicles from Merollis over the last 20 years and have had nothing but a great experience. After reading the reviews above, I felt I had to express my feelings. The problem with reviews is for the most part, only people that didn't have a good experience take their time to write a bad review. Most people that have a good experiences don't feel the need to go out of their way to write one. Seeing only two reviews for a business that has been around since 1928 tells me that they are doing something right. I highly recommend Merollis Chevrolet. The worst dealership in Michigan 6/10/2010

For starters I would like to say that this was the worst customer service I have ever experience at a dealership. I went on their web page to fill out a credit ad that I found in the free Automart. A few days later after filling out their credit app a sales man called me about my inquire. He had no idea what was going on just to call me. I told him that I was interest in a certain car and he told me that they could approve anyone (I have herd that lie before) So I decided to drive there which I told Dave not to waist my time because I live a hour away. As soon as I got there I looked at the car and said that I wanted to test drive it. Dave got me a plate and I was already in the car and he said we need to see if we can get you approved first before I drive it. I told him I thought you said on the phone that you can approve anyone. He said will I?m not sure with out running your credit report. What a liar he was he just wanted me to come down there to sell me a car. He then started arguing with me and acting unprofessional. I told him that I just want to drive it to see if I like it before you run my credit report and I told him that he could have the keys to my Lexus if that was a problem. Then as I was walking to my car some ghetto ass employee yield out that?s not a Lexus and that was very unprofessional. I immediately when back in to talk to the manager and sure enough he was not around. Well after that since they waited my time I wanted to waist theirs and prove a point that I could get finance for the car but because of there rude service I would go somewhere else. They appraised my car for less then half of what the Kelly Blue book trade in value was and I told he that you are crazy if you think that I would trade in my car for that. I was approved and suddenly everyone was being very nice to me. I told him that I don?t want the car because of what they where going to give me for my trade was not enough. Well guess who finally came out to say ?hi? the manager. He said that they 1st guy that looked at my car was new and he would look at it for me and see if they can give me a better price. He said that he would give me more as I was walking out the door. I said forget it and left. They tried to take advantage of me lied to me and was very rude. This dealership is shady, ghetto as can be and there cars suck. PLEASE DON?T WAIST YOUR TIME WITH THEM THEY ARE JERKS. Cons: They are Ghetto more

do not go there for service 6/28/2008

They sold me a lemon truck brand new with a faulty front end, when the truck is in four wheel drive the front tires pull in towards each other. the service manager said that that is normal and there is nothing they will do for me. so after finally getting it fixed four times 24000 miles GM is finally buying the truck back. but it you want to go somewhere where they can not even fix a simple sqeak in the front end that was casued by the shocks i suggest you go there. the servie there is horrible the service manager lies to you and says everything is the way its suppose to be when its not. i went to 5 seperate auto shops and they all told me i need new idler arm pitman arm tie rods and ball joints. bell tire has a zero tolernce in play for the front end, gm allows tolerance in it, i think that should be the other way around. i would think gm wants their customers to be safe in their products but i guess not. so to all that want poor quality service take a visit down to merrolis chevrolet. Pros: they are buying my truck back Cons: they never fixed it from 371 mi to 24000 miles more
