Ken Poe was highly unprofessional and ruined what would have been an amazing experience and pool. Our pool ended up four feet smaller than it should have been yet was dug and poured to be larger. The pool filler never worked correctly and Ken refused to meet with our inspector who found fault in almost each step of the process. Our pool took more than 6 months and should have been 10k dollars less than the original bid. The plaster peeled after the first summer and Ken would not fix it after repeated calls. He charged us for the larger pool size even though the pool was much smaller. He took our money before the pool was finished and refused to continue the construction until we paid him. We were at his mercy with a pool half finished and three months into the process. It was a NIGHTMARE! Completely unprofessional and dishonest. Our concrete work is such low quality we are having to have it all re-done. more

BUYER BE WARE!!! Gar is the MOST DISHONEST, UNETHICAL, MONEY HUNGRY POOL CONTRACTOR I EVER MET!!! Everything he says is LIES, LIES, LIES, LIES!!! DO NOT HIRE HIM!! He quotes you great prices, but abondones the job!! Again, BUYER BE WARE!!! DO NOT HIRE HIM!!! DO NOT TRUST HIM!! YOU WILL BE SORRY!! I do not care how great he appears, or what he says....IT IS ALL LIES!!! This man should not be allowed to own/operate a business!!! For those who said 'amazing,' 'excellent customer service.' Must have hired him when he was making money....not scaming others to build the next pool!! OR maybe he used our money to make your pool. I have never met another human being who had excuse after excuse and then got rude with the customer!! more

We finally called Garocco after years of watching this company create amazing landscapes for many of our friends. We had an existing pool that was completely dated from the 70 more

As with most people I am very quick to write a poor review and very seldom return to give any positive feedback....working with Garocco will be an exception for me. I am a person who works with artists on a regular basis professionally so I recognized the artist mentality in Gar Sewell right away. He's a little cocky and sure of himself and his ability. We did a walkthru and I described my dream, but it was apparent from the get-go, that I didn't have a clear understanding of what I wanted...just an idea of the feeling I expected from the completed project. When Gar's concept and proposal was given to me, the bid was higher than I initially budgeted for and higher than the other bids I'd received. The plan he drew floored me. Somehow....he was able to pull from what I told him and the design he came up with was beyond my wildest dreams....still the price difference made me hesitant. I thought it over, I called around, asked questions....and in the end opted to go for the big picture. Contract signed...two days later my yard was a mess and stayed that way beyond the anticipated 3 month time frame. I admit that it was trying for myself and my family...there were times when I was unable to contact Gar directly...sometimes a few weeks passed without any work being done and I would begin to get anxious. Gar always told me not to worry. The final start to completion time on the project was about 5 1/2 months....the end result more stunning than I ever could have imagined...the budget went a little over the original contracted amount...due to a couple change orders that I requested as I began to see the vision become a reality.....overall I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!! If you are looking for a standard wham bam average pool....I'm sure he could do the job...if you are looking for a magical and artistic transformation there is no one better qualified. Garocco Pools met with us last year and finished our pool and backyard earlier this year and we couldn't be happier. The original plan was outstanding, and Gar, the owner of Garocco worked with us on the many changes that we had as the project continued. This was a job that went from a simple pool, to a whole designed backyard and play area for our kids. The pool build took awhile as any construction project will, but it was well worth the time and money. more

I started a pool project with Gar, owner of Garocco,Inc. in 2010 and I am very, very happy with the whole pool, spa, and landscaped yard. He designed the pool and landscape to match the architecture of my home and to blend into the existing neighborhood. The project took 6 months, but it was worth the extra time and effort that Garocco put into the plan, if you appreciate fine quality workmanship. Pools was done in October 2010 and 2 months later foundation is falling and grout and tile started cracking. We called him (Ken Poe) several times to come fix it. He said he would come by to fix it but never did. It is now June and he stopped calling us. Ken Poe was paid in full (in CASH). I will be calling the IRS and better business bureau. I have pictures and records of our text, emails and phone calls. He is not one you can trust. Make sure you have everything written down on the contract from electrical covers and wires to how many plants- He is sneaky and will say ""it's not in the contract"" even if he did a handshake deal. In my opinion His word is dog poop! Again...BE CAREFUL if you work with Ken Poe of Garocco Pools. more

My pool is great. Gar built a unique one-of-a-kind rock waterfall oasis in a side of a hill that other builders said could not be done! The time to build was long because of the special design, but it was worth it! I would recommend Garocco Pools to everyone looking for a special design for their own pool. DM more

Though their methods seem, at times, to be a bit unorthodox, the finished product will take your breath away. Garocco completely transformed my home and my lifestyle with their creative space planning. My house is the talk of the neighborhood and my book club now meets here! My children's friends can't all want to come over on the after school and we all use the pool or spa on an almost daily basis.
