I was reminded once again how much I like the Garden Court. It is right in the middle of Palo Alto and with the renaissance of the center there, there are fewer t-shirt shops and many more classy restaurants. The Garden Court is de rigour for the Stanford MBA events, but it is really a nice hotel. Free wifi and Internet and they are now part of an exclusive chain. The service if anything is better than ever and I really like the winebar and the morning coffee and danish they serve. Also this is one of the few places with parking in central Palo Alto. more

Small and private 12/26/2005

Just what you need when you go to Palo Alto. Instead of minimalls galore, this hotel is right in downtown Palo Alto and it is a boutique. The rooms are comfortable and elegant and most important it is right next to Il Fornaio the place to be if you want to get the next google funded. Comfortable and intimate. Surprisingly, it isn't that much more expensive than megaplexes like the Hilton or Westin. more

Banquets and corporate events 11/3/2005

Almost 10 years ago my husband and I had our wedding reception at the Garden Court. The food is done by Il Fornaio and everything was just fabulous (in fact, some of my wedding pictures are in the lobby!). The staff was great to work with and I've always had a special place in my heart for the hotel. I also had the opportunity to work with them years later when planning corporate events and onsite meetings. Everyone who works at the Garden Court is top notch and the meeting and banquet rooms are much nicer than typical hotel rooms. Check them out for your special event. more
