Ganley Westside Hyundai

Update 2: Ganley informed me the car had an ECU upgrade that may be causing the misfire. They had the ECU reflashed, and as of Today no misfire on cold start. They are keeping the car until Monday to make sure it stays this way. \r \r Update 1: Ganley has finally taken the initiative to get this fixed. I will update this when something happens, as of now I am upgrading the stars because I feel I was treated better after contacting management. \r \r --\r If you're looking to purchase a used car that you actually get to drive, steer clear of Ganley Westside Imports. \r \r I bought a 2006 Volkswagen GTI from Ganley with 50 odd thousand miles. I should have known something was up, the Check Engine Light was on. I was assured by the salesperson that he would have whatever was causing the trouble repaired before I purchased the car. \r \r When I went to pick up the car, the CEL was off, and I was advised that there was a bad plug (fouled) and that all plugs were replaced and that corrected the issue. I drove the car off the lot without a hitch. \r \r The very next morning the car was running rough when first started, and the CEL came on again. I immediately contacted Ganley Westside Imports about the trouble and was advised to bring the car in for service. I could not get the car into service before the forthcoming Saturday (Ganley Westside Imports uses Enterprise Rent-A-Car for loaner cars, and Enterprise closes at 6pm and I work til 5:30 in Brecksville). \r \r I brought the car in on Saturday and did not hear anything til Wednesday of that week. I was advised they could not find the trouble and they were having a rep from Volkswagen tell them what to do next. On Thursday I called to inquire about my car, and was told that the valves were carboned and there was a vacuum leak. I was told the car would be ready on Friday. \r \r Saturday I went to pick up the car, and after starting it the same symptoms arose, rough idle and a flashing CEL. I immediately turned the car off and went into the service department. I may have been rude, but this should NOT be happening if they repair it like they say. \r \r I will update this if this trouble ever gets fixed, I advised them they have to have it fixed today. I will be contacting a Lawyer if they do not. \r \r When you pay 16k for a car, that you are ASSURED has no problems, you should actually get what you're paying for. 16k is a bit much for the car, but it's the exact model, year, and color that I wanted with low mileage. \r \r Ganley is beating around the bush, and causing this to be a HORRIBLE experience. more

Ok, everyone knows that buying a new car is not exactly something we consider fun. My first car was a hand down from my sister and lasted me all through college and had been running perfect up until last week. When we had our mechanic look at my 198,000 mile Hyundai Elantra he said we had definitely got our monies worth of this car and it was time to get a new one. Our neighbor had just purchased a new Elantra from Ganley Westside and suggested we do the same. I stopped up on a Saturday with my girlfriend and from the moment we parked our car I was completely impressed. A salesman met us at the door with 2 bottles of water and a friendly smile. The entire process was easy, and they made us feel comfortable and informed each step of the way. I left that day with a brand new Elantra and I absolutely love my new car and would highly recommended Ganley Westside Hyundai to anyone in the market for a new Hyundai. more

I do alot of research before moving forward with any purchase, so as one can imagine when it comes to acquiring a new vehicle I really hit the books! I shopped quite a few different dealerships via the Internet and had a good impression with Ganley Westside right off the bat. The salesperson seemed knowlegable and conducted business in a professional and helpful manner. When I stopped in to their store I was rather impressed with their selection of vehicles to browse. I ended up finding the GTI I wanted right their lot and took it home that same day. All in all it was a pretty seamless process, great pricing, great service! more

This is the 3rd Jetta that I have leased through Ganley Westside. I love working with their staff both in sales and service. When I picked up my Jetta last month, my salesperson had my car cleaned and filled with gas already while the finance manager was prepared with paperwork. When I had finished all of the above, they went over all of the features of the Jetta just to make sure I was comfortable. Now since this is my 3rd Jetta, I already knew how most of the controls worked, but It was nice that they took the time to make sure. Also, the new VWs come with free maintenance, so my salesperson explained how it all worked and offered to set up my first appointment. I have leased 3 cars from Ganley Westside and find them very easy to work with. Im always in and out in a reasonable amount of time. I will definitly be going back to Ganley Westside for my 4th VW!! more

You ought to go to Ganley Westside Subaru\r for your next car. They have a beautiful new facility, and they really take care of their customers! Our family has bought 4 Subaru's from them already, and will continue to. They make it easy, whether you are there for another car, or to have your car serviced! Usually, people only take the time to write reviews after a poor experience, however I thought that I owed it to the staff at Ganley Westside Imports to mention my outstanding experience. I recently leased a new Volkswagen Jetta, and the guys (and girls) at Ganley bent over backwards to make sure that we were well taken care of and were happy with our new car. Everything was very low pressure and straight forward, which is unusual in my experience shopping for cars. I will definitely return to Ganley Westside Imports for my next car and would strongly recommend that anyone else do the same! more

I leased a new car three years ago and after the deal was done, they don't have time for you. They assume I will lease another car with them, but I have been waiting for weeks for information on options. Every time I email questions, they respond without the answers. Same with phone calls. I am now working with other dealerships as I have found Ganley Westside to be difficult to deal with. I have contacted more than one person in the sales department to help with my account and re-leasing a vehicle, and have gotten nowhere over the last three weeks. This dealership isn't worth the time, and I should have listened to the people who told me that when I first went there three years ago for my lease. Also, they don't honor their agreement to provide you with a loaner during maintenance, and since I don't live near the dealership, this was especially frustrating and made maintenance tedious and difficult. I also had a bad experience with Matt, and immediately asked to be switched to another salesperson. Not that this one is any better... more

I had unpleasant experiences with these guys from beginning to end. Watch out for them taking away your trade-in and leaving you without a car! Watch out for all the unnecessary services they offer to provide to a leased car. I waited for someone who forgot about my appointment for 2.5 hrs to do something that could've been done in 10 mins. Even though I checked with other salespeople several times no one told her I was waiting for her even after she showed up. They don't take their work seriously. I liked my VW but these guys didn't help in any way. If you think you're getting a good deal, check again!! Pros: I liked my car Cons: The dealership sucked more

Very high-pressure sales tactics at Ganley Westside VW - which made me quite uncomfortable. Not only that, after we got the deal we wanted, the finance team is totally incompetent - multiple errors on the paperwork. I think they were getting really annoyed with us for actually reading what we were signing.\r \r I would go to a lower pressure dealership in the future to buy a car. If you must go here: be sure and double check all of your paperwork before you leave! Cons: Incompetent staff more

We went in to purchase a VW and after we got up to leave, the staff made inappropriate remarks about how we were being rude and should be ashamed of ourselves. We bought a new VW from Ganley and its absolutely a HORRIBLE place!!! They are the most dishonest, greedy dealership out there. I have been to a lot of dealers over the years, and have never come acoss such horrible people. They lied about the price and showed us one price and then rushed out the door while slipping another price in there. I take partial blame for not re-examining and doing better math, but the dishonesty was just unimaginable. If for some reason you NEED to go to ganley, PLEASE do not go to MATT BARTHOLEMEW. He is the worst there. Don't let him pretend he cares because the ONLY thing he cares about is his paycheck. I wish I could give them negative stars! Cons: Their morals and ethics more
