Galtelli's Shoe Svc

Galtelli's was referred to me by a co-worker at my job last year in 2009. I now talk all my repairs to them. The customer service is great! This reminds you of an ole time feel of courtesy that needs to be reactivated to other small/large business throughout! Great place. more

I have been using Galtelli's Shoe Service for over 10 years and have NEVER had a bad experience there. My boots have ALWAYS been/continue to be ready when I was told they would be and, additionally, the quality of their work has, without exception, been first class. While I miss seeing Mr. Galtelli when I go by this shop, the excellent quality of service, which I have come to expect over the years, has remained consistent. I HIGHLY recommend this shop for any shoe related work one might require. more

The so called Galtelli currently running the business is by name only and has no blood relationship to original founder, Henry nor his son Ralph. A true Galtelli knows how to treat people and provide superior service. My heart goes out to the family who's reputation is being ruined by such rudeness and poor service. The rude person behind the counter is there because of selfish greed and it would be best for all customers to not shadow the doorstep until rightful family owners are able to run the business the way it was intended. more

Today I went to pick up a pair of shoes that Ibrought in to have a spot removed from the toe and to have them polished. They brought out my shoes and they had been trashed. They were supposed to call me 2 weeks ago to tell me they were ready, but didn't bother. The finish on the shoes appeared to have been rubbed with ""0"" steel wool which ruined them nor had they been polished. I told them I could not believe what they had done, to which they made no comment. Pros: worst shoe service in memphis Cons: Don't waste your time more

Went to pick up the purse I left to be cleaned and polished. Two counter people went to get it, examined it with their backs to me in the back room. Came to the counter and I could see that the purse looked the same as when I dropped it off. When I said so, the woman at counter denied it and challenged me refusing to even hand me my purse threatening me that I had to pay before I could touch it or get it back. When I called her on her unnecessary rudeness and my dissatisfaction with the job, the employee stated that she wasn't going to listen to anything I had to say and that they had been in business 63 years . I replied that I didn't care how many years they'd been in business this was not the way to treat customers and I was not satisfied, the woman said ""not the way to treat a b*tch?"" Needless to say it was the most shocking retail moment I have had. At this point I just wanted to pay and get out of there with my purse. After handing over my credit card I was threatened again, ""I have your phone number so don't try to cancel this transaction."" Bottom line: To get my purse back I was made to pay $27 for a job that looked undone and was verbally abused and threatened. I am more than dissatisfied. Notified the consumer agency when I got home who informed me the company currently has an ""F"" rating. I wish I'd known that before. Plan to warn everyone I know never to do business there. more

Our hopes and prayers are that justice will be served and the Galtelli's will be back in the shop soon. Again I apologize for the treatment you received as My Daddy would be so upset as to how His Business is being run by a person he did not even want in his Shop period. more

galtelli's shoe service exhibited the worst customer service i have ever experienced. not only were their business practices questionable, they were incredibly rude. i had been a faithful customer of theirs for years and will never go back. more
