Worst experience in Florida 9/5/2011

Tonight we visited Fulton's Crab House!! So disappointing. We had the fried fish platter! Mistake!!! Fish was soggy and French fries were limp. The shrimp were like little hard stubs!!! Absolutely no flavor! Worst of all was the ""tartar sauce"". My wife and I did not recognize the taste. Waiter said it was made of mashed potatoes!!!mistake!! We love good food and are never concerned about the price if food is acceptable!,, This place is totally ridiculous.save your money! more

Great!! 5/31/2010

Anybody who says this restaurant is bad is just all worked up about the price. if you dont have the money to go to a realllly nice classy restaurant and are going to cry about the bill, dont go I went there twice and both times the food was AMAZING Each day they fly freshly caught fish in from California and all over the country and list the name of who caught it and the location on the menu. If you complain about having to wait to be seated, then dont go there on a saturday night.. If you dont want to spend too much money, i suggest you get one of their soups (crab & lobster bisque, and clam chowder) which are both great! For one of these soups and a caesar salad it will cost about $13. And if you complain about wait times, thats your own fault. You tell them when you want your food and what order you want to eat it in, so if you want your food at a certain time, tell them instead of complaining about your own mistake on a ratings website Pros: Awesome food. Great Atmosphere Cons: Price more

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!!! 12/23/2009

My husband and I and our baby daughter met my niece and her husband and stepson at Fulton's on December 22 for lunch. We were horribly disappointed and I was embarrassed that I even suggested this floating nightmare. We made reservations and still had to wait 15 minutes for a table. We then had to wait 20 minutes to get our drinks...just sodas and glasses of water, mind you. We then had to wait FORTY FIVE MINUTES for my husband's cold calamari. I was not impressed and I should have read the other horrible reviews about this restaurant. We should have gone to T-Rex or Rainforest Cafe. It would have been a lot more fun. We sat there waiting and waiting and the food was cold. No one had any fun. I live here in Orlando and I am certainly telling you NOT TO GO TO this restaurant no matter what. Also, the food is WAY, WAY too overpriced for what you get. Red Lobster is SO MUCH better! Pros: nothing at all! Cons: cold food and WAY TOO expensive! more

warning...dont waste your money or time 2/24/2009

I love seafood. I also love nice restaurants. Well this one thinks its a nice restaurant, charges high prices, but thats it, its not. I had better food at ihop. This place is WAY overpriced!!! I ordered flounder, $28.00, and comes with NO sides. For that much money, i expect perfection. I received it on the cold side and overcooked! the waitress even ""warned"" that they tend to undercook fish, since it is so fresh, but not in my case. They have sooo many customers they turn around, they absolutely do not care about you. My husbands overpriced steak was tuff, he had to send it back, 12 TINY oysters were $27.00 and we weren't allowed to have crackers cause the ""chef"" doesn't believe in them, they were not anything special, they sucked! Pros: location Cons: terrible food, terrible service, way overpriced more

Horrible tourist trap! 2/13/2009

Horrible tourist trap! We were hoping to find a great seafood restaurant or at least a decent crab shack. It was neither. Even with the 10% discount for annual passholders, it was not worth it. The average entree was $40.00. The calamari appetizer was inedible(you could get better and fresher calamari at Carrabbas or Red Lobster) and looked like it came out of a frozen bag. The house salads were wilted and had obviously been sitting around too long. The soups were ok, but nothing to write home about. The tuna appetizer was dry and bland (you could get better tuna at Cheesecake Factory). Kids meals were nothing special (runny mac n'cheese), and when my husband asked for a refill on his lemonade, we were told they were not complimentary, and then no one bothered to show up to fill our waters. Although we requested lemon wedges, they never came. Stuffed shrimp entree was try and tasteless and accompanied by a large untrimmed hunk of broccoli. We will never go back and do not recommend it to anyone, unless they just want to pay for overpriced food and consider it an admission fee to step on a fake theme boat overlooking the water. Cons: too many to list! more

Not worth the price 10/14/2008

I ordered a sampling of raw oysters, the lobster and crab bisque, and the snow crab legs. Total cost was $55, which would have been worth it had the dishes been prepared correctly. The oysters unfortunately had chunks of shell in them, and were served in multiple smaller pieces instead of as an intact oyster. Looks like the oyster-shucker needs more practice. The lobster bisque was not bad, but was rather flavorless and bland. After the bisque, I had to wait another 30 minutes before the main course. The snow crabs were the worst - incredibly over-salted, to the point of almost inedible. Overall, the experience was definitely well below expectations. On a positive note, the waiter and hostess were all very pleasant, and the view on the deck was wonderful. Pros: great staff, convenient location Cons: food is not worth the price more

Avoid at all cost, McDonald's would be a better dining experience 6/16/2008

There are few things I hate more than eating at an expensive restaurant and coming home hungry. Fulton's was 3 steps below Red Lobster. My family and I dined there while on vacation and were disgusted with our dinner. The waitress tried to sell us our dinners like we were shopping for a used car. The time it took to get our drinks and place our order was unacceptable considering the place was fairly empty. We waited 25 minutes to eat our calamari; which ended up being ""fishy french fries"". I've eaten my share of calamari, and this was nothing like I've ever had. Each piece was actually shaped like a french fry and had the consistency of rubber. After that we tried the Seafood Tower, which at almost $20 per person I expected to be good. It was a cold tower of old seafood. The clams and mussels were dry and rubbery, the tuna was over-seasoned with basil and the shrimp tasted like it had sat in the sun all day. To be fair, the crab and scallops on the tower were not bad. Our entrees were passable, but given the time we had to wait (40 minutes after our appetizers) we were not happy. The place smelled funny, the server was too pushy and the food wasn't worth the inflated prices. Tourist or not, nobody should settle for this dismal excuse for a ""crab house"". Pros: No wait time Cons: Foul food, Pushy service, Inflated prices more

Decent food, Poor value, a madhouse! 4/5/2008

Living in Orlando, we have been to Fulton's several times, and never have any major complaints about the food or service, but I always feel slightly silly paying the these prices, even with 10% off for season passholders. This time, the noise and table location was especially intrusive. more

(Not a good experience) 12/9/2007

Not a good place at all. The food was served at room temperature. We ordered calamari as an appetizer and it took a 30 minutes to arrive cold. The main course arrive 30 minutes later and it was cold as well. Olive Garden and Red Lobster serve better food at a better price. This was a bummer!!! High Price not good at all. more

the best seafood!!! 11/11/2007

I loved this place.. Located in Downtown Disney, it has a great view, friendly service, and the Alaskan Crab Leg was AMAZING... although it can get quite packed because of the tourist location, it's well worth the wait... Pros: Service was excellent more

What an awful experience! 11/7/2007

Words can not express how lousy this dinning experience is. I love places like Bern's, Peter Lugers, Del Frisco's, Sparks, etc. all expensive, but classy, elegant dinning experiences. The only thing Fulton's has in common with those wonderful places... is the price. Pros: Your overpriced food comes quickly Cons: Atmosphere, noise, crowding and extreme prices more

SOOO DISAPPOINTED!! PLS READ IF YOU ARE THINKING OF GOING. 5/31/2007

I have wanted to eat at Fulton's for about 2 years, so when my husband and I went to Disney in May 2007, we decided to do Fulton's on our first night there. From the outside the boat was beautiful, and allures a great deal of people, but the inside is much different. It is very lowly lit with dark wood everywhere; it is very much in need of an update. It almost reminded me of Friday's. We made reservations, and even we had to wait 15 mins. People also came in without reservations, and they were turned away. It was only a Wednesday night for goodness sake! Meanwhile we got 2 very $$$$ vodka and tonics. Our Waiter finally took us back to our table, but it wasn't ready so he made us stand in the crowded room while everyone was eating and watching us stand around. He then (apologetically) took us back to the lobby where we waited a bit more until the stressed out waiters got another table. Unfortunately when we went back again the SAME thing happened, and we returned to the lobby. When we finally did get our table it was not clean. I put my hand on the menu and got a gob of cream cheese all over it. When the waitress came she did not care in the least, but she did bring me a wet cloth. How wonderful. We were seated extremely close to another table; it was almost like they were part of our party. When they left a huge LOUD Puerta Rican family arrived, and overpower everything I tried to talk to my husband about. Our meals took FOREVER, and they forgot to bring the claws. I thought our waitress was a Bitc#, as did my husband; I am only a 27 yr old teacher so please don't think I am this rich thing who expects everything. I got a less expensive meal, as did my husband and it came to $90; normally I wouldn't complain, but this place was not a great restaurant. Pros: Great Snow Crab! Cons: OK martinis, Extremely overpriced! Horrible atmosphere, OVERCROWDED, stressed out waiters, bad service. more

cold, overcooked food and high prices, nice view 4/2/2007

Ate here with the family while in town on Spring Break. Food was cold and overcooked, service was slow. Kids commented that Red Lobster would have been better. A real disappointment especially considering the price. Highly recommend Bonefish Grill for seafood. View of Lake Buena Vista was nice. Pros: beautiful view of Disney's Marketplace and Lake Buena Vista Cons: Food was terrible, service was slow more

Best server & food 11/22/2006

We are seafood lovers and try it everywhere we go. This restaurant definitely got rave's from us. We did have a bit of wait when we got there, but it was such a nice evening we people watched from the walkway. it was worth the wait, we had an incredible view of the sunset from an upstairs booth. Our waitress could not have been nicer. She turned us on to Copperhead river Salmon (which, surprise... niether had ever heard of). Holy Salmon!!! Our meal was in credible! Our server was great. She said she was from Alaska, we didn't know how true that was but it made for a great story. We definitely went back before the end of our vacation and requested her & the fish. Pros: food, romantic, service Cons: might have to wait more

The worst experience I have had in Orlando, Fl 3/19/2006

I was in Orlando, Fl for 3 months and we ate at many restaurants while we were there. This was the worst. Lousy atmosphere, so crowded you couldn't get out once you sat down, the food was mediocre at best. The shrimp tasted like iodine. Waiter was not at all interested in whether the food was good or not. One person had crab and they didn't bring the cracker for it until we asked and never gave us a bowl to put the shells in. I would definately not go back or recommend it to anyone. Don't bother with reservations you still wait forever. Cons: over crowded, bad waiters, very slow more

What you'd expect in a tourist destinati 1/30/2004

Overcooked, oversalted, overpriced. Despite the luck of a nice atmosphere and friendly staff, this is a restaurant is in a GREAT location and really doesn't have to serve good food. It's overpriced bland tourist food. I went with a group of coworkers on convention so we had a nice sample of almost everything on menu. I thought the food was very expensive and so badly cooked. I paid 55 dollars for myself for just an appetizer, entree and dessert + tip. No alchohol. I tried very hard to like this restaurant but eventually you can't eat atmosphere. Pros: Location, Atmosphere, Service Cons: , Waiting area, Screaming Kids more

cgingras 11/4/2003

The atmosphere here is fantastic. We took our 6-year old daughter, who had a blast. When we first arrived, we requested a window seat on the 2nd floor. After waiting for about 5 minutes, the server took us to the 2nd floor only to find out someone else was seated at our table. They very quickly cleaned a different table and bought us a drink for our troubles. This is definitely a pricey restaurant, with entrees ranging from $34 - $44. We ""cheated"" and ordered several more reasonable appetizers, including a special seafood sampler for 2, for $12.95 per person. We had our fill of wonderful seafood, bread, wine by the glass, and a great view! Pros: atmosphere, view, seafood Cons: dark, expensive more
