Some of the best sales people in the industry and their mechanics know how to fix bikes 10/11/2007

I have been going Full Cycle on the Hill for some 10 years now. I have always been treated well and never too pushy.\r What I like the most is that the staff is very low key but at the same time knowledgeable about multitude bikes and accessories they sell. \r Couple of times I have had a chance to interact with the mechanics I have found them also eager to help and explain how to keep my bike in running right.\r \r I do know that the owners of Full Cycle have opened another store downtown which is much bigger with more bikes to select from. However the the original Hill store remains my favorite one.\r \r When you visit the Hill store if it's lunch time check out the sandwich shop next door. Awesome sandwiches. Especially the toasted ones.\r \r icefinn Pros: Service Cons: Parking may be a challenge more

Best bike shop anywhere 10/9/2007

The sales people were excellent in helping me with my choice of purchases for the type of biking I was going to do. It was fun talking to them and sharing experiences. Will go back anytime. more

Bought Maverick ML 7/5. Great buying experience, fitting, and groupo recommendations 10/9/2007

My salesman (Chris?) raced both hardtail and FS bikes, and gave me really good recommendations on what component upgrades were worthwhile and which were not. A great combo of both weight saving and durability. Very fair price for a high end bike. Great build up. Good 10% discount on accessories at time of purchase (I know everyone does this, but there was no push for you to buy, and they left it open for me for a while. And there is an excellent range of bikes there for all levels of interest and $$$. Plus, they have really cool cruisers, which I want now! Great people there, period. Oh, and if you have drive there, always seems to be a spot right in front! Pros: Thumbs up. Great service, lots of time spent fitting bike to my frame, good parking. Cons: nada more

all about getting you to have the ride today that will have you riding with them 10 years down the road! 10/2/2007

where it's hard to find a bike shop that's not bigger on bongs, this one is ALL ABOUT BIKING!! they meet you on whatever level you want to talk bikes, and you may even leave with a new riding partner! more

All around outstanding! 10/2/2007

The staff at Full Cycle is knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic about bikes! Their selection is outstanding. The sales staff will spend all the time you need teaching you about their products, fitting you to just the right bike. I left feeling like I had a crash course in bikes! I was pumped to go out and ride. Pros: knowledgeable staff, great selection, awesome service department more

Best mountain bike shop in Boulder, period 10/1/2007

I am 99% mtn biker, maybe 1% roadie...and that's a stretch. Full Cycle is the best shop in Boulder for mountain biking. Especially on what bikes/parts/tires work on OUR trails (not smooth California singletrack, or flat midwest trails). Plus great info on local trails, rides, riding in Nederland, etc.\r \r Also Full Cycle is THE source for the sickest cruiser bikes in Boulder!\r \r Other shops seem to specialize in road bikes, with a bit of attitude to boot, and mtn bikes are an afterthough or just low end. Even when I stop by on my road bike, looking at new road bikes, or just tires or parts, I don't feel pressure, yet still feel like the folks there know a ton about road biking. It's so nice to not have attitude because I don't have a team jersey on or don't road race.\r \r Finally I can't put a comment in here without a plug for Maverick bikes... if you are considering a new mtn bike, you have to demo a Maverick from Full Cycle. I think they'll even apply your demo day fees toward a purchase. Take it to Hall Ranch if you don't have a lot of time...otherwise head up to Nederland (and make sure to get directions from the folks at the shop). Pros: Excellent, very knowledgeable service dept. And quick turnarounds. Cons: None. more

Great bike shop!! 10/1/2007

Wow! I had the best service experience at Full Cycle on Pearl St and 18th street in Boulder! The sales man, I wish I could remember his name, was informed on all levels of road bikes. i was just looking and had so much fun learning about head tubes and angles and woman specific bikes I had to buy one (TCR by Giant, love it!) They have a huge selection of cruisers, want one of those too, Humm, Christmas gift?!?! How do I forward this to my husband??? He spent the whole time drooling over the IBUS mountain bike, all carbon. Yup, it was pretty but the purple Maverick in the window... purple! Anyway, great experience. I highly recommend!! Pros: very helpful staff, no pressure, informative and fun Cons: not really any more
