A person in my profession of computer repair, is expected to work fast and have parts on hand which is probably the only reason i still shop here. Once in a while i will have to replace the motherboard on a customers computer and frys is the only one that carries the kind I use. Now one day i go in and by 3 of the aforementioned motherboards, however they only have 2 new and one open box. Which should have been the first red flag, turns out it was defective and they just put it back out on the floor, so i return it within the 15 day return/refund policy, only to have some high school yahoo tell me he cant accept it as a return because the serial numbers on the board did not match the ones on the box. I tried to calmly explain the situation to which i continuously received ""I'm sorry sir theirs nothing I can do about it"" so I ask him to get me his supervisor, who turns out to be not much older then me. He then has a private conversation with him the end of which I am told that I must have made the mistake,to which I showed them the receipt with all other purchases on it including the correct serial numbers and the empty boxes from the other boards. After another private conversation with his manager they told me my behavior was unacceptable and to leave immediately. I calmly replied with ""what grounds do you have for this"" and at that point a large person with a black shirt with security on it asked if we were going to have any problems. I replied ""No were just discussing something"" at which point he grabs me by the arm and attempts to force me out the front door. Without my purchases, all I can say is that I hope they have a good legal department because with all the witnesses and the police report they can expect one hell on an investigation and a hefty lawsuit
Pros: They still cary a socket 478 motherboard
Cons: forget about returns, youll be escorted out in handcuffs
