Friedmans Appliance

We just had our Kitchen remodeled and needed to replace our current appliances. Looked at Home Depot and the guy helping us knew nothing about appliances. Randomly stopped into Friedmans and was blown away. The store is huge, super nice and the sales guy was great. He knew everything and even recommended cheaper appliances than what we were looking at based on how often we cook. They delivered and picked up our old appliances and arranged the drop ?off with my contractor, super easy. Friedmans is great , totally recommend. Pros: null Cons: null more

I live in the city and was out on a business call in the east bay and stopped by their location to look at some options for my new kitchen. I planned on buying them somewhere else once I had an idea of what I was going to get. I would rate Friedmans Appliance very highly. Even through all the changes, they were able to get me the appliances I wanted. The salesperson was excellent. My experience was very good. They only problem I had was with the refrigerator door not shutting properly. But, the technician who came out to install the cook top and range hood was able to fix the refrigerator door. more

Friedmans Appliance, Pleasant Hill. Purchased 3 high end appliances and extended warranty for 2. When one failed I found Friedmans had not sent correct appliance information to warranty service company. Two weeks without range waiting for action from Friedmans and warranty company says it would take up to 14 more working days to get documents cleared. No offer to set up interim repairs, no calls returned, personal visit to store and assurances that repairs would be set up. No action no follow up. I would not recommend price over service at this store. more

My wall oven went out and I needed a replacement. Friedmans beat any other store by 2000 dollars. I couldn't be happier with this purchase, When its time to replace my other appliances, I will be returning to Friedmans. more

Excellent place to shop for your microwaves and appliances. Large show room displaying the products. Very large selection of major products. Sales staff very helpful and knowledgeable and will give you a lot of ideas to furnish your kitchen. Will also give you good competitive prices. more

Purchased several appliances there while remodeling kitchen. One of the appliances did not work. While the manufacturer was willing to work with Friedmans to get me a new unit, Friedmans was not willing. Twice the manufacturer called and was told "No". The salesman said they would assist. However, he would not return their call. I had to have them ship it elsewhere. Shop elsewhere. more

I would like to express my feelings about a recent visit to Friedman's appliance store, the sales people knew nothing about the ranges or appliances they were selling, Mine was finally delivered, and vented so much hot air into the kitchen that I was afraid it would start a fire, the back was so hot that it would burn anyone touching it. I contacted the store they called the service department, it was 4 days before they could come out and check the range, they scheduled a time for the AM, then never showed up and said I was wrong, it was for the PM. I had to leave for an appt. so they didn't come at all. Called PGE to check the range and outlets. Used the range for the first time 2 weeks after it was delivered, I was with out a range for 3 weeks, Every time I use the oven it sets off the smoke alarm. NO Customer Service Provided by this store. I bought a range with an adjustable shelf, it was delivered with a regular shelf, and no broiler pan. The sales person didn't tell me it was an option. To date I have waited over 6 weeks and no adjustable shelf has arrived, even though the Sales Person said it would be ordered immediately and shipped to my home. This was an experience that I hope never to have again, I have more kitchen appliances to purchase but definitely won't go back there. Maybe they should spend some time and money educating their staff on follow-up and customer service instead of building a larger store. My experience with Friedmans was geat! My salesperson was patient and extremelly helpful. They explained every step of the ordering process and my delivery was on time. The salesperson took the time to shop the products online to make sure we were getting the best deal. He showed me numerous options and helped me understand the differences between brands.They recommended a third party installer who turned out to be great. I truly fealt like I was being taken care of throughout the entire process. I would recommend Friedmans to anyone. They made my buying experience extremely enjoyable. Pros: Extremely helpful. I went to Friedmans Appliance for the first time with friends, a married couple, who were shopping for a stove top. Since I'm remodeling my kitchen and had been searching for a dishwasher, sink, faucet, fridge and stove hood, thought I'd ... a few birds w/one stone and get appliances there. I cruised the store for the appliances (about 1/2 hour) not one person salesperson asked me if I needed help, even though many had passed me in the store. Funny, salespeople made a b-line for my friends--heard them offer others some assistance. Even when I joined my friends, and the salesperson they were working with, in the back of the store, he didn't even speak to me. Later in the car my friend told me that he noticed that the salesman who'd assisted him didn't seem to ignore. Firstly, let me say that it's poor practice ethically to post a 5 star review for a store you work at. Shame on you Marv. Pros: None that I can think of. They had what we were looking for, but can't support what they sell Cons: Will almost never return calls, managers are impossible to contact, can't reliably perform installations, won't deliver on promises. more

This place has gone down hill. I purchased an entire kitchens worth of appliances, 20+k worth. I had nothing but problems with them. The very expensive range didn't come in as ordered and it didn't ignite. Called them immediately and over two weeks later they still can't even get me a service appt. Called to speak to a manager and he wouldn't take my call. Salesman even admitted the mgr wouldn't take the call. What kind of service is that? Where else can you spend that kind of money and not get a customer service response? more
