Not a Full Service Salon 7/29/2007

I am a Jamaica Plain resident and used Fresh Hair to get ready for my wedding. First, I attempted a mani/pedi but she did such a horrible job on the manicure, applying old nail polish that was soooo thick that I did not let her near my toes. Next, I was set up for a make up lesson and after about 20 minutes of common sense tips, I walked out of the salon looking like a clown. Now, I have had success in the past with hair at this salon (but my stylist is not longer working there) I would say that Fresh Hair is not the full service salon they advertise to be. The staff is friendly but unexperienced. The location is great but the prices are way to high for what you get. more

Worst Hair Color...turned my hair BRIGHT ORANGE. 9/1/2006

Stylist insisted that she could take my medium brown hair to blond in a single process. During my consult I had let her know that my hair had a tendancy to stop at red. She turned my hair ORANGE. I returned the next day for a color correction. Another stylist (with just over a year of experience) tried a toner that turned it an even brighter shade of orange. Staff members then told me that there was nothing that they could do at this time. They actually let me walk out of the salon with bright orange hair stating that it was a long weekend, and there was no one that could fix it for at least 4 days. They should be embarassed to call themselves a salon. more
