French Loaf

I ordered a cake from here for a party I was having. It looked beautiful but when we tried to eat it, yuck! The cake was dry and the frosting tasted like they had just mixed some sugar and water together in a bowl, slapped it on and called it icing. No one could even eat it. When I called to voice my displeasure because the cake wasn't cheap, they could have cared less. Very disappointing. I will not be back. I'll buy a cake from a grocery store before I'll ever visit here again. more

I had never heard of this bakery until 2 weeks ago when a co-worker suggested that we get a birthday cake for a mutual co-worker from here. He volunteered to pick it up and said that the cakes were always really good. I was expecting to just have your basic birthday cake from say a grocery store. Boy was I wrong! I was very impressed! The packaging was impeccable, so I figured the taste would match. This may have been one of the best cakes that I have had in a very long time. It tasted like a gourmet suzy q. It was a very nice change from the white cake that tugs at your throat, and that's topped with a mound of super sugary icing and bitter blue flowers. I will definitely keep this bakery in mind for the next special occasion that comes up for my circle of friends more

their french bread is excellent for grilled cheese! it's like a gourmet version of an American basic. their pastries are both beautiful and tasty. it's a treat to look at them! more
