We have used Fred's Wrenchouse for close to 15 years on 3 different makes of cars. They have consistently provided excellent, professional service. They don't try to upsell you services you don't need. They explain what is wrong with your car clearly. And, are always friendly. They go out of their way to accommodate you if you have scheduling issues. Absolutely the best! more

I don't know much about cars so I can't say whether the repairs made to mine are good/bad. But Barry at the shop was very professional; he explained the problems and provided an accurate estimate. I have several friends who uses Fred's Wrenchouse and I would definitely return to them, if needed. more

Reliable, honest and friendly service 12/8/2016

I have been looking for a good place since moving to (north) Oakland and Fred's Wrenchouse is it! I was able to drop off my car for an oil change and tire rotation around 9 and pick it up at lunch. Plus, they did a quick fix of my loose door switch and now it's usable again without costly replacement of the whole switch! I will definitely be coming back for all my car maintenance needs. more

I call for an appointment, arrived at the appointed time, they took care of the paper work...estimate and I was on my way. I needed additional work on the car, and was given a call with an estimate and the time would take to do the additional work! Great Service more

Friendly, helpful customer service. 10/17/2016

Went in for new battery. I usually go to Good Year in Marina Village but the service men have changed and the friendly ones have gone and their prices seem to be higher; no deals or best rate. I think I found a new service center. :) more

Fast, easy, friendly, accomodating 10/13/2016

Fred's Wrenchouse was recommended to me by Art's Automotive in Berkeley. I sent an email asking if they could service my car for a 100k checkup, I received a quote within 24hours, I was able to schedule an appointment within a week. I dropped my car off the morning of my appointment at 8am, friendly service, they had all my information ready and by 2pm I received a call that my car was done. I was unable to pick it up before they closed so they kindly ran my card via phone, and left my car in their lot with the key locked inside so I could pick it up later that evening. I paid exactly or very close to what they quoted me. I would recommend Fred's Wrenchouse to anyone. It was a breath of fresh air that I received the services I needed with a friendly smile, and no price gauging later. Thanks Fred! more

Fred and crew are awesome 10/13/2016

This was my first time in, although I've known Barry for many years. What a great experience. Set up an appointment, brought it in and they took great care of my old girl. And the pricing was very fair. They explained what was going on in a clear way and gave me options. Just an overall great experience. They have my business going forward, no doubt. more
